while evoking the interconnectedness of stories, advocacy, and art. It highlights the mission of remembrance, awareness, and action in a meaningful way.
Manitoba’s
 
MMIWG2S+ Healing and Empowerment Endowment Fund
, is part of Manitoba’s provincial strategy to protect and empower Indigenous women and girls (Mino’Ayaawag Ikwewag: All Women Doing Well). It was launched last year on Red Dress Day (May 5, 2024) with funds managed by the Winnipeg Foundation, aimed at providing support and healing for MMIWG2S+ families. MMIWG2S+ was established to help aid families and communities of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & 2Spirit+ Peoples.
One in five women experience mental health challenges like anxiety or depression. 
CMHA
 
provides vital support programs to ensure no one struggles alone. Together, we can break down stigma, build understanding, and create safe, welcoming spaces where all women and girls feel empowered to seek help and heal. CMHA envisions a Manitoba where mental health is honoured as a universal human right.
