Rhythm Retreat offers two types of tickets:
Free Ticket
: No cost to attend.
Free Ticket with Donation
: While attendance is free, donations are appreciated. Donations will be split 50-50 between Trans Pride Brighton and TransSober to support their future activities.
You only need one of these tickets to attend the event. Rhythm Retreat is organized by TransSober,
If you are unable to attend please cancel your ticket or let us know, so it can be given to someone else, TransSober understand people can't always make events however, we do lose a lot of money from people not turning up and no notifying us,
Who is Rhythm Retreat's first ever DJs ?
Rhythm Retreat regular Xandice Armah aka 
DJ Xzan
 (they/he) is a queer and trans Brighton-based DJ and co-founder of 
@galpalsclub
, an LGBTQ+ club night centering queer women, trans and non-binary people.
Xzan is the biggest proponent for playing what you love and playing it loud. This mantra comes to life in the form of their high energy, hyperactive sets, ricocheting between queer pop party anthems and deep-cut club trax and wildcards. Xzan is an open-format DJ in the fullest sense, they have no respect for the boundaries of gender and hold the same reverence for genre. DJ amyfist
 (they/she) is a gender fluid sober multi-genre dj who taught themselves to DJ in 2023 after getting sober. Music has always been a huge part of their life and they thank their sobriety for pushing them to explore their love of DJing after reflecting and feeling like they were missing out on a huge part of themselves - dancing! They love to party even more in sobriety, being a regular both on the dance floor and on the decks at sober raves across Brighton and London. They have a fresh multi-genre approach to mixing, getting the vibes just right across a variety of genres. They’ve played at House of Happiness, Dykes on Decks, Third Space Events, Frends of Dorothy, Dead Wax, BBG open decks and BBG’s 1btn radio show.

Rhythm Retreat and TransSober, are community organisations run by volunteers with limited funding . We would extremely grateful if you're able to make a donation when getting you free your ticket to help us keep all our sober socials and drug & alcohol support services free of charge to attend
We recommend friend's make a donation with there free ticket if possible to help support the gender queer community, Friends are more than welcome to attend
Suggested donation £5 to £15 however, realistically whatever you can afford every penny helps support TransSober and to put on events like this
We also insure everyone involved in hosting our event is payed such as DJs/ Dancers etc

Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
