Safe to Create is excited to announce another round of their highly effective In-Person Active Bystander Training Workshops for actors and performers in the arts and creative sectors. Due to high demand following their successful sessions last autumn, Safe to Create is bringing these workshops to Dublin and other locations across the country this spring. Led by Professor Louise Crowley, a renowned expert in Law and Director of the UCC Bystander Intervention Programme, and Olwen Dawe, a leading policy analyst and consultant in equality, diversity, and inclusion projects, these workshops equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and motivation to address and prevent harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

These three-hour workshops provide actors and arts workers with the necessary skills to intervene safely and effectively stop inappropriate behavior before it escalates into unlawful harassment. The sessions include real-world examples and scenarios, encouraging participants to think critically and engage in discussions. Past workshop attendees praised the training for its clarity, engaging delivery, and thought-provoking nature.

The upcoming workshop in Dublin will take place on Wednesday, March 20, from 10 am to 1 pm at a venue that will be announced soon. This event is free of charge for anyone working in the arts and creative sectors in Ireland.
