Country Lake Estates Events in June, 2025

From SFU: The BREATHE (Building Resilience to Emerging Airborne Threats and Heat Events) project that teaches people how to build DIY air cleaners to improve their indoor air quality during wildfire smoke events (

). The project began in 2023 when it was piloted in the Fraser Valley and the city of Vancouver and since has expanded province-wide. Last year, we were able to host many workshops throughout the Okanagan Valley that were really well attended and received by the communities. The target demographic for this project is low-income older adults, pregnant women, families with children who have asthma, and those with pre-existing lung and heart conditions. All of the materials will be supplied by the SFU team.
