Join us for a celebration of the second installment of Tamara von Werthern's popular detective series, SILENT NIGHT, which has now been translated by her into English. This is a follow up to Only the Lonely, which was originally published in German in 2017, and places her eccentric real-life father in the middle of a spoof crime novel. In SILENT NIGHT, Philipp makes an unexpected discovery when a lorry crashes outside his house in the middle of the night, which draws him into a new and perilous investigation. Soon he’s on the trail of a master criminal, along with his canine sidekick Maschka and Police Sergeant Nadja Bernstein, who has her own demons to fight. With his family about to arrive for Christmas, will he solve the case in time… or is he on the wrong trail altogether? There will be a reading from the book as well as an opportunity to have your copies signed by the author as well as her father, the inspiration behind Detective Philipp. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.
