This sunny Sunday workshop brings you the opportunity to combine 2 fascinating craft techniques to create a gorgeous and unique to you meditation journal.
Starting with learning how to make sun or solar-prints using the early photographic technique of Cyanotype you will create beautiful blue and white prints on luscious paper.
We will enjoy a lunch break (bring a picnic or pop out for a takeaway) in the sunny courtyard while our prints dry out.
After lunch you will learn how to fold and cut paper and craft a cover for your journal, before sewing your book together with yellow linen thread, all supported by expert guidance.
Finishing touches including a ribbon wraparound tie and sun or lotus charm are added to complete your beautiful and personal journal.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities and help is given when needed.
Tickets include materials, Eventbrite fees and taxes. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event.
Tamsin is a practicing Artist, Bookbinder and experienced Creative Tutor with a passion for paper print and book arts. She advocates for creativity for wellbeing and enjoys helping others to reconnect with their inner creative spark. She owns Barefoot Bindery based in her bindery-studio at Fisherton Mill in Salisbury where she makes beautiful handbound books that are a joy to own gift and use, as well as offering a book repair service.
Tamsin has a BA Hons Fine Art -Printmaking from Winchester School of Art (Uni of Southampton) and is a trained Mental Health First Aider
