Plus, get an insider’s look at the Florida film scene from Patrick G. Alexander — acclaimed filmmaker and Department Head of Film at Ringling College of Art and Design.

About Kathryn Parks:
Kathryn Parks is an award-winning actor and filmmaker who has been honored with the
 Ladies in Film and Entertainment award
 by the Sunshine City Film Festival – honoring the top women in the film and entertainment industry in the Tampa Bay area. Her two short films, 50 WORDS and HER PLACE, have both received the honor of BEST FLORIDA FILM and they were Official Selections at over 30 festivals. Her third film, a feature documentary called THE FABULOUS OHS: THE MARRIAGE AND THE MUSIC, played festivals across the United States and won a “Best of the Festival” Gussie award while at the Sarasota Film Festival. All three films have provided production opportunities to 150 Florida-based actors and crew. As a singer and stage actress, she has worked at Florida Studio Theatre, Asolo Rep, St. Petersburg Opera, and West Coast Black Theatre Troupe. She teaches musical improv at Florida Studio Theatre Improv. Kathryn strives to create work that showcases the beauty and talent of her home turf in southwest Florida.
