Event Information Saturday 10th May sees the return of the Spen Valley Fun Run. Bringing students, families and the community together for a morning of fun and games at Spen Valley High School’s playing fields. The Spen Valley Fun Run has continued to grow in popularity and is a highlight in the school’s events calendar. This year we hope to be bigger and better than ever before. Supporting one of our own fantastic teachers, Mr Nolan and his family, who are in turn being supported by the brilliant Candlelighters. About Candlelighters Candlelighters is a charity bringing light and hope to families facing childhood cancer across Yorkshire. Providing emotional, practical and financial support from diagnosis and for as long as is needed, as well as funding research into childhood cancers. Each year, over 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer. When a child is diagnosed, lives are turned upside down instantly: not just for the child but the entire family. Getting well again can be a long and challenging journey, emotionally, physically, and financially. Fun Run Entry Details When | Saturday 10th May 2025  Race times |Gates open at 8:30am and the race starts at 9:30am.  Where | Spen Valley High School Playing Fields, Roberttown Lane, Liversedge, WF15 7LX  Routes |We have two runs available a 1K or 5K.  Please specify which race you would like to take part in.  Parking |We have some limited parking available at the school.  We respectfully ask that if your car journey is not 100% necessary that you do not use your car.  Tickets |£5 for adults (over 18) and £3 for juniors.  Please ensure you fill in all details clearly, so we have the correct information for you and emergency contact details.  Spectators | Are very welcome. There is no charge for spectators, and we have stalls and refreshments available.  Whether you are 6 or 60, running for a PB or working up to your first 5K, or simply just wanting to fundraise for a great cause, we would love for you to join us at the Spen Valley Fun Run!
