Join the Stained Glass Intro event at HSBNE Inc in Eagle Farm, QLD 4009 on February 11, 2024. This informative session will guide participants on how to use the various tools available at HSBNE to create a beautiful small suncatcher made from glass. The event will take you through each step of the process, from learning the basics of using patterns, cutting glass, grinding, cooperfoiling, polishing, and even optional patina application. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, experiment, and choose from a range of small introductory patterns such as Butterfly, Mushroom, Paw Print, Heart, Cactus, Shark Tooth, Star, Apple, and Geometric shapes. The cost of the course includes the supply of glass for practice purposes. To ensure maximum comfort and safety, please wear a long-sleeve shirt and closed-toe shoes. If you have your own safety glasses, mask, or gloves, feel free to bring them, although all personal protective equipment will be provided. Please note that this event is led by a fellow volunteer who is still enhancing their skills in the field.
