LGBT community members are invited to sign up for our 6 week swimming programme, taking place at Sean McDermott Pool, Dublin 1. The course takes places on Wednesdays at 7pm until 7:45pm and will run for 6 weeks at the same time each week. Make sure to book the correct group for you as you will not be able to change group after you book. Beginner group is for people who can not swim. You will not be out of your depth in the water. Beginners will share a lane with the improver group. The lane has its own coach who is trained as a life guard. Improver group is for people who have some swimming ability but are not strong swimmers. This group will share a lane with the beginner group. The lane has its own coach who is trained as a life guard. Intermediate group is for people who can swim at least 50 meters on front and back stroke and are comfortable out of their depth in water without any flotation device. Advanced group is for people who can swim at least 100 meters on front and back stroke and are comfortable out of their depth in water without any flotation device. The length of the pool is 25 meters. Places are limited so sign up early to avoid disappointment. The changing rooms are gendered commual changing rooms. Our Rathmines lessons offer non-gendered individual changing rooms.
