Steppers UK is an outdoor community dedicated to connecting People of Colour with nature through enjoyable outdoor activities. Our objectives are as follows: Normalise the visibility of Black & Brown faces within the outdoors.Increase diversity and improve access for those lacking ability, representation, or opportunity.Boost the confidence of our communities in navigating the outdoorsEnhance the physical and mental well being of our participants.Support participants in overcoming any fears and stigmas associated with the outdoors.Provide fun and therapeutic experiences in nature.Build communities of outdoor enthusiasts and equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make outdoor activities a recreational part of their lives.Cultivate environmentally friendly communities.
Plants & PlaceJoin us for a relaxed walk through Birmingham Botanical Gardens supported by Lynda from With Nature in Mind. Explore local flora, learn plant identification skill and uncover the connections between plants, heritage and well being. Learn how plants connect with culture and tell stories. This event is part of British Science Week supported by the British Science Association. This event highlights the vital role of science in understanding nature and its impact on our well being. By exploring plant biology and cultural connections, we celebrate how science helps us appreciate and protect the world around us. 📅 Date: Sunday 16th March 2025

This event is suitable for ages 18+ only
Please meet at the front of reception where we will have a briefing before we start. This gentle walk is perfect for beginners. Your ticket includes entry and you’re welcome to stay and explore afterward. Toilets and pop up vendors will be on site for snacks and drinks. Secure your spot and connect with nature! 🌿✨

Children love it, it&#39;s a must for families with kids! I saw British schools also organize students to play there. Overall, it&#39;s more worthwhile than the Whisky Museum and the Peter Rabbit Museum. The first two are actually worth going to the shopping malls to buy something, and the doors of the shopping malls are open to passers-by.

We made a dedicated trip and had a lovely few hours. There was lots to see with split levels that kept your interest. The penguins were nice, the octopus made an appearance and we would have loved to see more of the otters., we see the otters.. There is plenty to see, read and touch. My grand daughter loved it all, the turtle in the tunnel is beautiful . It was clean, and we had a great time, would definitely go back, staff were helpful,its really nice and deserve to be visited again and again.

For a smaller town the Art Museum as great. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it if you are traveling to Birmingham. Make sure to call ahead to see if they are open.

After we dropped off our luggage at the hotel, we had a big meal at a Michelin one-star restaurant, and then we began to get to know the city. First we came to Victoria Square, where a building imitating a Greek temple caught our eye. It turned out to be their town hall. Next to it was a beautiful Baroque building, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, which was also free to visit. So we went in for a stroll. There were not many people, and the exhibits were quite rich, ranging from ancient Egypt to current art.

I think the ticket price is a bit expensive. Either I can&#39;t understand the beauty of this garden, I personally like Japanese gardens. But I have been to other European gardens and I think they are more orderly than this one. If it is a free attraction, it is okay, but the price is so high, the cost performance is really average.
