The Sumiyoshi Festival is one of the three major summer festivals in Osaka, and it is also a grand festival in the back of the summer in Osaka. The three-day event starts on July 30 and ends on August 1. There are three well-known events: "God Washing the Gods", "Xia Yuexi" and "God Yu Yu". "God washes the gods" refers to the ritual of washing the gods with sea water on July 30. The shrine starts from Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and heads towards Sumiyoshi Park, which used to be in the direction of Yoshihama, washing the shrine with sea water as it goes. This seawater is brought back in the morning by the special ship "Shiokabune" of the Osaka Sumiyoshi Fisheries Association from Osaka Bay, which is considered a sacred seawater. After the cleaning was over, Miyu returned to Sumiyoshi Taisha. "Xia Yue's sacred events" is considered to be an intangible cultural heritage, and it is also the highlight of the annual festival on July 31. It is a ceremony in which a gorgeously dressed Xia Yue girl and a golden boy and a jade girl drill the thatch together. Ordinary people can also participate, praying for no disease and no disaster. "Shinyu Togo" refers to a ceremony in which the deity of Sumiyoshi the Great God parades through the shrine to Sakai no Judo Intongu. Local residents will participate in the activities of raising the gods, and the scene is very lively.

⛩️Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine is located in Sumiyoshi Park in Osaka. It is the most famous shrine in Osaka. However, because Chinese tourists who come to Kansai prefer the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, not many Chinese come here.
Introduction
The architectural style of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine is the oldest in the history of Japanese shrine architecture. It is very special and is also known as &quot;Sumiyoshi-made&quot;. The shrine enshrines the god who protects travel and safe journeys. It is the headquarter of approximately 2,300 Sumiyoshi shrines nationwide. It has a history of more than 1,800 years and is designated as a national treasure. During Japan&#39;s traditional festivals, various large-scale sacrificial activities are held here. Even if you don&#39;t come to worship, it is a good choice to experience Japan&#39;s most primitive and rich shrine culture.
Transportation
You can choose the Nankai Railway. You can take the Nankai Railway bound for Kansai Airport and Wakayama. However (mark ❗), you should pay attention to the number of trains. Only &quot;General&quot; stops at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, so from Namba Station &quot;01-なんば駅&quot;Get on the bus. If you take express or semi-express, you have to go to &quot;05-Tenka Chaya Station&quot; to transfer to a regular bus, and then get off at &quot;08-Sumiyoshi Taisha Station&quot;.

Good points

- It was fun because Pokemon appeared all over the town. I wanted to see all the panels, so I walked quite a distance for the first time in a while.

- The prize at the end was good. The acrylic charms were especially big and cool. If your favorite Pokemon is among the prizes, you should participate.

- Bad points

- The map is hard to see. I didn&#39;t understand the meaning of the dummy panels at first. I thought that many of the panels were in tricky locations for an event mainly aimed at children.

- It&#39;s difficult to go around without taking a break. It says 1-2 hours, but it&#39;s better to look around for more than 3 hours. (Especially if you go to points that are not related to the rally points) It&#39;s Umeda, so if you miss the timing, it&#39;s hard to find a place to rest, especially on holidays.

The museum inside Osaka Castle offers a good overview of the castle&rsquo;s history with some interesting displays and artifacts. The interior has been modernized with elevators and air conditioning, which makes for a comfortable visit, though it does contrast sharply with the traditional exterior. The view from the top is a highlight.

It was fun, but the line was so unbearable! They basically told us how long it would take, so we were fully prepared.
