Du 10 au 12 juin 2025, le Centre de droit public de l'Université d'Ottawa, l'Université de Montréal et la Chaire du chancelier en droit et politiques autochtones de Dalhousie University tiendront une conférence universitaire pour souligner le 150e anniversaire de la Cour suprême du Canada. Cette étape marquante offre une occasion unique de revisiter l’histoire de la Cour, de considérer son émergence en tant qu’institution nationale importante et de réfléchir à ce que l’avenir pourrait réserver à la Cour.
Une réception de bienvenue aura lieu le 10 juin 2025 à la Cour suprême du Canada. Le juge en chef Richard Wagner s'adressera aux invités. Les deux prochains jours de panels et de discussions approfondies sur le passé, le présent et l'avenir de la Cour suprême se dérouleront à la Faculté de droit de l'Université d'Ottawa.

On June 10-12, 2025, the uOttawa Public Law Centre, the Université de Montréal and the Chancellor’s Chair in Aboriginal Law and Policy at Dalhousie University, will hold an academic conference to mark the 150th anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada. This milestone provides a unique opportunity to look back on the Court’s history; to consider its emergence as an important national institution; and to reflect on what the future might hold for the Court.
A welcome reception will be hosted at the Supreme Court of Canada on June 10, 2025. Chief Justice Richard Wagner will address the attendees. The next two days of substantive panels and insightful discussion about the Supreme Court's past, present and future, will take place at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law.
Please note that this conference will be fully hybrid and fully bilingual. Simultaneous interpretation will be made available to all attendees.

The Governor General of Canada is the highest leader of the country and the representative of the British monarch in Canada. The Governor General&#39;s Palace is free to visit, but reservations are required in advance. There are staff to guide you through the tour and give explanations, which takes about an hour. There is a bronze statue of Queen Elizabeth II riding a horse on the roundabout outside the gate.
