Synesthesia is a drop-in session. This means you can arrive and leave anytime between 6.30 and 9.30pm. Tickets are £6 each and Children under 12 go free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a family friendly event. We invite you to explore an immersive art installation which will take you on a journey through light, sound and colour. The exhibition combines both visual projections and live organ performance, creating an exciting and dynamic experience. Synesthesia is a collaborative project created by two emerging local artists: visual artist Jiating Yang and musician Tobias Wheal. Linking to the project's name Synesthesia, dynamic colourful animation inspired by natural forms stimulate a sensory response. Live music will be performed on the 1878/1904 Bevington organ at St.Mary’s church, showcasing contemporary pieces by composers Philip Glass and Michael Nyman. The progressive style of the music using repetitive rhythms, patterns and sequences enhance and combine with the visuals. In addition to this, there will be an original composition written for Synesthesia by Tobias Wheal. See you there!
