The third and final masterclass. A Writing Workshop with Tania Nwachukwu  Masterclasses: Intentional and thoughtful networking events and masterclasses led by industry professionals and the Talawa team. These sessions are designed for Black artists to commune, share best practice and reignite their craft among faces old and new. Tania Nwachukwu is an Igbo performer, writer and educator, born and raised in North West London. She graduated from Mountview Academy with an MA in Performance (Acting), and now teaches African Theatre Practices and Black Acting Methods in drama schools across the UK. Her writing credits include THE KOLA NUT DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH (Bush Theatre), which she also starred in. She is currently developing an original adult animation and a full length play. Her acting credits include The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives (Arcola Theatre), All The Places We Could Travel (Derby Theatre), The Irregulars (Netflix)
Tania’s work explores identity, culture, intergenerational relationships, and the links between our past, present and future.
Tania has a background in poetry and is a Barbican Young Poets alumni. She is also the co-founder of BLACK IN THE DAY, a submission based photo archive documenting the lives and experiences of Black people in the UK.
