If you&rsquo;ve already made it to Berlin, I highly recommend climbing the stairs to the top of the Berlin Cathedral for the panoramic view. However, it really depends on your luck&mdash;during my visit the dome was under major renovation, and most of the view was blocked.Be prepared: the staircase has many steps, and the walkway at the top is quite narrow. When it gets crowded, you can&rsquo;t stay up there for long. For the best experience, I suggest visiting after you&rsquo;ve explored most of Berlin&rsquo;s major sights&mdash;seeing the city you just walked through spread out beneath you makes the view even more rewarding.

Well worth the visit. If you like history this is the place for you. From Egyptian history to Roman history it&rsquo;s a great way to learn for kids. Nice to visit on a rainy and cold day in Berlin. Some very famous pieces can be found in this museum, and it&rsquo;s great to see them from a close perspective.
