Seeing a lot of actors' submissions for roles, we know that some might be a little lost in terms of what is asked of them. We are not all fortunate enough to go to drama schools, and even then, sometimes, these information are not shared. We see a lot of actors spending their money on things they don’t need, or on headshots that end up not being industry standard. Actors' time and money are valuable, and should not be taken advantage of. We already work in a competitive and unstable industry, having to juggle between part-time jobs and auditions, without having to get scammed on top of that. ABOUT YOUR HOSTSheherazade have worked on many productions as an actress (Ephemeral, Vacant, Broken Bird, Pump Off...) but her knowledge comes mainly from working behind the camera, leading castings and attending workshops of all kind. She has also coached actors for productions, especially actors just starting out. As she started my acting career, she realised how little she knew about industry standards (headshots, showreels, castings, agents), and she struggled to find valuable information. Now, represented by an agent, working on her first feature film as a director, she wants to give back to the community.
