Neil D. Lawrence
 as he discusses his latest book, 
The Atomic Human
, with Sussex University Professor, Ron Chrisley. Neil will be discussing and contrasting our own intelligence with the capabilities of machine intelligence and reveal the technical origins, capabilities and limitations of AI systems, and how they should be wielded. Not just by the experts, but ordinary people. Either AI is a tool for us, or we become a tool of AI. Understanding this will enable us to choose the future we want.
AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
Neil D. Lawrence
 is the inaugural DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the 
University of Cambridge
, senior AI fellow at the 
Alan Turing Institute
 and visiting professor at the 
University of Sheffield
. His technical expertise is in uncertainty and machine learning methods, in particular its use as the principal technology underpinning modern artificial intelligence.
CHAIR BIOGRAPHY
Ron Chrisley
 is Professor of 
Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence
 at the 
School of Engineering and Informatics, Sussex University
. His areas of research include: metacognition in neural networks, social and ethical issues of AI, social robotics, machine consciousness, quantum machine learning and applied logic.

Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
