For the 2024 Great Hall Commission, Taiwanese artist Tong Yang-Tze (born 1942, Shanghai, based in Taipei) has created two monumental works of Chinese calligraphy for the Museum’s historic space. Her project is the third in the series of commissions for The Met’s Great Hall and the artist’s first major project in the United States.

Central Park is very fun. There are large lawns and many squirrels running around. You can rent bicycles and ride horse-drawn carriages in the park. It is also nice to just walk around. There is a huge children&#39;s playground not far from Columbus circle. Children from all over the world who come to New York come here to play. They can play in the sand and water, and there are slides, swings, and rockeries. It is easy to play for half a day. There are also many people playing on the lawn. Many people there like to throw frisbees. Many families come here for vacation. It doesn&#39;t get dark until about 8:30 in the summer in the United States, so it&#39;s no problem to play in the park for a whole day!

Because tickets were sold out at the last minute, I had to buy the English-only tickets. The Met&#39;s collection is extensive, worthy of its status as one of the world&#39;s three largest museums. A self-guided tour is the most efficient. A quick tour will take at least four hours. Food and beverages are available, but they&#39;re quite expensive. You can exit the museum once and reenter the same day, simply by getting a stamp upon exiting. It&#39;s best to purchase tickets online a month in advance. Same-day tickets are available on-site, but availability is limited, making them more uncertain.
