JUNE EDITION: VIGNETTES fleeting moments in time; shared collective experiences that can never be replicated, only remembered The Recital is a literary social club that takes part in three acts. It is a welcoming, interactive community event and the concept involves attendees taking part in all three sections of the night. ACT I An intimate discussion of our recommended reading and a book swap (bring one, take one) ACT II A reading and hosted Q&A with author Alice Ash (Paradise Block, winner of the Edge Hill Readers Choice Award 2021) ACT III An open mic session for poetry and prose. Venue/Event accessibility information The Recital takes place in the downstairs of The Rossi Bar, which is only accessible via a spiral staircase (15 steps with a handrail). There is a small step over the doorway of the venue.There is a gender neutral toilet downstairs and one upstairs (in the main bar)There is no bar in the venue downstairs (only upstairs)Apart from breaks/book swapping, the event is mostly seatedThe open mic takes place on a stage with a small step upThe venue is low lit, with candles/fairy lightsThere will be a low-volume playlist and conversation throughout the eveningPlease contact us/the venue for any further information

Had my first date here with my partner and we hadthe best time. An amazing aquarium with abeautiful atmosphere, lights and gorgeouscreatures! I love animals and fish and seeing themhere was wonderful. Staff were lovely and veryknowledgeable. The place was clean, easy tonavigate and extremely ambient and beautiful. We went on a Thursday afternoon so was pretty quiet!

One of the best piers in the South of England. There is lots to do with tons of seaside rides, fun arcade games and food. Highly recommend catching the sunset here and if you&rsquo;re lucky you might catch the starlings dancing at dusk, I didn&rsquo;t know they do this and it was the most spectacular striking and stunning natural phenomenon I had seen, it was mesmerising. Highest chances of seeing the starlings dance is between November-March, we visited in early March
