Show Description
ELK Trio brings an electrifying night of jazz/world fusion to the Art House, ft. transcendental electric violin, hypnotic guitar grooves, and mind-melting tabla/percussion wizardry. As their repertoire ricochets from ethereal ambient jams to hard-driving postmodern interpretations of traditional folk music, ELK Trio will even enlist the audience to participate in their live-compositional process. Bios
ELK Trio is a jazz/world/fusion trio featuring Lu Frattaroli, Kyle Jordan, and Erik Johnson-Scherger. Leveraging its members wide-ranging backgrounds in jazz, Western and Indian classical music, Celtic music, and prog-rock, ELK Trio brings deep listening and joyous intensity to stages across the region in their pursuit of musical peace.

We’ve played the Art House many times before; individually, members of the ensemble have performed major venues and festivals such as Massey Hall, TD Place, Ottawa and Mtl Jazzfest, etc.

IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO
We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.
We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options.
This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.

Parliament Hill is the office of the Canadian government and is usually closed to the public. Now there is a light show every night at 5:30, which projects pictures with constantly changing colors and music. The whole show is about 10 minutes long and is played in a loop all night.

The Governor General of Canada is the highest leader of the country and the representative of the British monarch in Canada. The Governor General&#39;s Palace is free to visit, but reservations are required in advance. There are staff to guide you through the tour and give explanations, which takes about an hour. There is a bronze statue of Queen Elizabeth II riding a horse on the roundabout outside the gate.
