Welcome to the VCAN September 2025 Meeting!
Join us for an engaging in-person gathering with the Vietnamese Business and Professional Community. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow members, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships in a casual, welcoming setting.
Founded in the summer of 2024, VCAN continues to grow as a supportive network of business owners and professionals in Calgary. While many members are Vietnamese Canadians, we warmly welcome individuals of all backgrounds who share a community spirit and are committed to collaboration, support, and mutual growth. To grow VCAN, we encourage you to bring a guest!

· Date & Time: Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

· Scotiabank Office
Suite 1700, 225 – 6th Avenue SW (17th Floor Lunchroom), Calgary, Alberta T2P 1N2
(Street parking free after 6:00 PM)
Meeting Highlights:
· Food: Light appetizers and drinks will be provided. To help cover costs, we kindly ask for a $25 contribution per attendee.
· Agenda:
1. Opening Remarks: A welcome by one of VCAN’s founders.
2. Presentation: Julia Benson from Scotia Wealth Management – Julia will share valuable insights on retirement planning specifically tailored for business owners, along with practical strategies for generating passive income through your investment portfolio—an area that sparks a lot of interest. Her presentation will focus on clear, actionable advice grounded in real-life scenarios, offering guidance that’s easy to understand and genuinely useful for anyone looking to build long-term financial security.
3. Member Introductions: Each attendee will have 30 seconds to:
o Introduce themselves and their business or professional background
o Share referrals they are seeking or have given/received
o Highlight specific business opportunities they are pursuing
4. Open Networking:
 The remainder of the evening will be dedicated to building connections.

A fun, festive, and educational experience foreveryone. The Park has an assortment ofactivities, rides, food, civic museums, and heritage architecture emphasizing the cultural significance of early Prairie settlement/life.It&#39;s like taking a step back in time, and it&#39;s worthevery dollar. 11/10 do recommend.

Peace Bridge

It looks like a tunnel bridge, and it is also a transportation hub for passing through the other side of the river. The color of this bridge is very eye-catching, with red intersecting structures. Vehicles cannot pass through, but people and bicycles can pass freely. There are lights at night, and Fengjia feels magnificent.

it&#39;s a nice place to visit not only for kids but for adults who love animals as well. i went here alone, and it was nice to have a walk and see the animals at the same time. sadly,the pandas are gone, but i got to see them before they&#39;re gone.
