The South Loop Farmers Market presents the weekly retro fitness series, We Got the Beet: ROLLER SKATING, at the Roosevelt Collection shops in Chicago. This event is open to all and offers a nostalgic workout experience inspired by the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Each Thursday evening, attendees will gather at the Roosevelt Collection Shops to participate in a classic workout routine. This week, the event will be hosted by Myesha McCaskill, also known as SmoothGoddess, who has spent the past 30 years developing her love for skating and fitness. Myesha will share her expertise in rollerskating, focusing on beginner skate fundamentals such as rolling forward with confidence, stopping, turning, backwards skating, and beginner line/roller dance routines. This class is suitable for students aged 10 years and above. For children aged 8-10 years, private lessons are recommended to ensure safety and a suitable pace of learning. The event aims to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all participants, regardless of fitness level. Join us and be a part of the vibrant community at the South Loop Farmers Market. Validated parking is available for two hours.
