Surreal–Absurd
, a groundbreaking anthology of contemporary surrealist poetry.

, for an afternoon where the ordinary fractures into the uncanny and the absurd shines with mind-bending clarity.
Bringing together over 80 voices from around the world, 
Surreal–Absurd
 is the result of four years of research and curation by Mercurius Magazine, a leading platform for contemporary surrealism.
This immersive launch dissolves the boundary between writer and audience. 
Seated together in a circle on beautifully arranged rugs and cushions, guests will share in a dreamlike ritual as a lantern is passed from hand to hand during the reading. To enhance the warm and intimate atmosphere, enjoy a complimentary cup of homemade chai or red wine. Please note that shoes must be removed upon entry, and individual bags will be provided for them. Tickets are limited—reserve your spot before they’re gone!

About Mercurius Magazine and the Surreal-Absurd
Founded in 2020 by Thomas Helm, Mercurius Magazine has evolved to specialise in contemporary surrealism. Editors Helm and Marcus Silcock coined the phrase “surreal-absurd” to categorise a new kind of surrealist poetry: one that combined surrealism with elements of minimalism, absurdism, and story-telling, with a strong preference for the prose-poem.
Although many authors were writing in this mode, their work seemed scattered across diverse journals without a single centre of gravity. Helm and Silcock felt passionately about this form, not only for its immediacy, inventiveness, and lovely weirdness, but also for its non-elitism and accessibility. They wanted to consolidate a truly popular form that spoke to the times and could be enjoyed by all kinds of readers.
With the critical input of two additional editors–Vik Shirley and Ben Niezpodziany–the Mercurius editorial team spent the next four years archiving the world’s finest poets working in this emerging form. The result is the 
Surreal-Absurd 
anthology.

Revisiting the Natural History Museum in London
The Natural History Museum in London, formerly the Natural History Department of the British Museum, officially became independent in 1963.
Climbing the magnificent spiral staircase, the mineral exhibition area on the right side of the second floor resembles a subterranean palace. Among the over 5,000 mineral specimens, the most stunning is the 3-meter-high amethyst wall&mdash;a perfectly cut amethyst cave from Brazil, shimmering with a dreamy purple glow under the light.
Here, nature is the greatest artist:
1️⃣ The legendary Hope Blue Diamond (replica), this 45.52-carat blue diamond carries a cursed legend.
2️⃣ The 563-carat &quot;Princess of Brazil&quot; topaz, like a beam of frozen sunlight.
3️⃣ The pigeon&#39;s blood rubies from Burma, each one a frozen flame.
Most magical are the fluorescent mineral displays: the stones, gray under ordinary light, suddenly burst into neon colors under ultraviolet light!
The meteorite exhibition hall houses the world&#39;s most complete collection of meteorite specimens. The most precious of these is the 4.5-ton Bakubiri meteorite, discovered in Namibia, Africa in 1902. Local tribes used it to forge spearheads. Touching these rocks from outer space allows you to feel the mysterious pulse of the universe.
-Don&#39;t forget to look up at the ceiling during your visit; the intricately carved botanical patterns are also part of the exhibits.

- From crystal palaces deep within the Earth to stardust gifts from the vast universe, this museum offers a glimpse into nature&#39;s most extravagant treasures. Here, every stone tells the story of Earth&#39;s 4.6 billion years.

Hyde Park was a delightful afternoon, the sun shining brightly, the lake clear, and the few visitors. The park itself is quite large, boasting a historic palace, white swans soaring in pairs, tourists leisurely basking in the sun, and adorable squirrels. The park has a natural feel, lacking any overt themes, simply offering a place to relax and experience nature. Once Britain&#39;s most renowned and largest royal park, it witnessed both the extravagance of the royal family and the progress of social civilization and the transformations of freedom and democracy. A spring visit should also offer a variety of flowers and plants.
