During this relaxed 2 hour workshop you will be taught how to make a contemporary drum-lampshade to a professional standard, using your choice of beautiful William Morris printed fabric.
The workshop will take place in the Jan Molby Room which is a light and airy community space on Floor 2 of the John Lewis store, in Liverpool One. Refreshments following the workshop (hot drink & a slice of cake) in the John Lewis Floor 3 'The Place to Eat' Restaurant are included in the ticket price.
No experience necessary and all materials and equipment will be provided. Workshop numbers are limited to 6 people, which will ensure lots of one-to one teaching time.
The finished shade will be 30cm in diameter and will be suitable for use on a table lamp, or as a pendant / ceiling shade.
You will go home with a wonderful lampshade for your home or to gift to a loved one, plus the skills to make many more!
Please note :
 When booking your ticket you will be asked to select your fabric design by name. Before booking your ticket, take a look at the series of 9 different fabric designs in the picture carousel above, select your choice of design, and make a note of the name. There are limited amounts of each design available and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Bluebird Upholstery has been transforming peoples well-loved but worn-out furniture, from a workshop in Liverpool since 2014. Owner Imogen Woodings is an AMUSF (Association of Master Upholsterers) trained upholsterer & QEST Scholar, is skilled in both traditional and modern upholstery, and was featured in the 2018 book 'A Celebration of British Craftsmanship'. As well as undertaking upholstery commissions, Imogen also makes and sells beautiful handmade lampshades & cushions.

This is a pilgrimage, as a Liverpool fan. No matter how this journey is perceived by others, it is a perfect one in my heart. Especially when I passed through the player tunnel and saw the sign of Anfield, my heart was filled with emotion. When I stood on the stadium and closed my eyes, I could imagine the bustling crowds here on match days.

I am not a Beatles fan, but after this tour, I was still moved by their legendary stories. And I found that some of the familiar songs were written by them. I appreciate Lenon&#39;s talent, but I like McCartney&#39;s gentleness and restraint more. It is a good place to visit.

This church looks ordinary from the outside, but you will be amazed once you enter. It feels very beautiful as soon as you enter. It is super big inside. It is recommended to come here on Sundays. There will be a choir every Sunday. You can pray with the locals and feel the atmosphere.
