The York Food Festival is a week-long celebration of gourmet food. It brings together over 100 food and drink producers, showcasing Yorkshire's finest produce on the streets and in the markets of York city centre. St. Sampson's Square hosts daily demonstrations by celebrity chefs, some of whom you may have seen on MasterChef. York's Cookery School showcases gourmet cooking techniques. York is the hometown of the Rowntree family, and the city's chocolate story is told through exhibitions and demonstrations at the Town Hall. Of course, all the food and drink wouldn't be complete without a refreshing drink from York's breweries, wine bars, coffee stalls, or a proper Yorkshire tea! During the festival, York's "Little Live Music Festival" takes place on Parliament Street every night at 5pm, offering exciting entertainment. Street food stalls will delight you with their diverse international cuisine and flavours.

My first time visiting this tower ,all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful .We really enjoyed visiting this beautiful piece of history and we adore york. Was so happy to know it is english heritage so everytime we go somewhere we try and make use out of our membership.Was a wonderful structure been made for the stairs nice and strong. We enjoyed the roof top being able to have a clear 360 view was magnificent well worth all the climbing up both stairs .

It takes about five minutes to walk from York Station to platform 11, cross the overpass, and there is a sign, which is easy to see. There were not many people, so I went in without an appointment. There were many local elderly people and children, but they watched quietly.
The history of trains is clear at a glance, and I learned a lot. Half of the confidence of European railways comes from Britain. The trains and train technology more than 150 years ago are really admirable.
