Youth MTB Clinics, held at Hale Education, Inc. in Westwood, MA, provide an opportunity for young riders to learn essential skills and techniques for navigating trails safely. Specifically, the Youth MTB Intro to Jump Clinic (Ages 16–19) is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to conquer various jumps. Starting with wheel lifts, participants will progress to bunny hops and small gap jumps. The clinic will cover the mechanics of taking off and landing safely on both flats and descents. The location of the clinic is near the ABC/XYZ cabins, with parking available at Noanet Landing. Hale's rugged and diverse terrain, just a few miles from Boston, attracts mountain bikers of all ages. Over the past five years, Hale has expanded its youth mountain biking program, focusing on skill-building and ride time. The Wild Ones MTB team, led by dedicated volunteer coaches, organizes weekly rides and facilitates participation in races and events throughout New England. Students at Intrepid Academy at Hale also enjoy after-school rides as part of their semester. With the support of donors, Hale can continue to expand its mountain biking opportunities for youth.
