Hoi An Ancient Town is not only rated as &quot;one of the 50 places you must visit in your life&quot; by National Geographic, but also a &quot;World Cultural and Natural Heritage&quot; recognized by UNESCO.
It is estimated that it will take 45-50 minutes to take a Grab from Da Nang city to Hoi An Ancient Town. The estimated fare is 320,000 VND. You can directly select the destination [Hoi An Ancient Town].

When the lights come on, there are all kinds of lanterns on both sides of the Thu Bon River, which is really beautiful. You can take a river boat and release lanterns here.
If time permits, it is highly recommended to stay for one night. You can choose a B&amp;B by the Thu Bon River, which is very quiet and a 5-minute walk from the ancient city.
When you come to Hoi An, there is another must-do activity - the coconut boat. Hoi An Canaan Island is famous for its natural scenery of water coconut groves. Take a coconut boat and leisurely pass through the lush coconut groves. During the 45-minute boat ride, the boatman will take you through the narrow river, get close to the lush water coconut forest, and watch the coconut boat rotating performance. It is well worth it.

When you arrive at the village, there will be people asking if you have booked a ticket, just tell them Hanh coconut and someone will show you the destination. Checked in was pretty easy. The staff just verify your ticket and you can board the boat immediately, don&#39;t have to wait. Since I&#39;m traveling alone, I have the whole boat to myself. Compare to the usual boat ride, this coconut boat made from bamboo, can be a little wobbly than usual cause it is round. The whole atmosphere was pretty lively with some paddlers being very energetic. You just need to join in. There are shows: throwing fishing net and the famous boat spin, which the paddler will kindly notify you. The paddler is also very kind and helpful to help you take photos and videos. Hat non la, umbrella, life jacket are all provided. The whole ride is about 30-40mins depending on the extra activities you joined.

The main cultural show is worth to watch. Try to book the Hi-Seat so that when there&rsquo;s spurting of fire, the sparks doesn&rsquo;t reach you. The lighting during the show was amazing. There&rsquo;s English translation on the monitor (left and right). The ticket includes quite a number of mini- performances starting from 4pm onwards. Just follow the guide inside(one carrying a flag).
