Hongshi Gorge is located 3 kilometers north of Yulin, Shaanxi Province. It is named after the red rocks on the mountain. The cliffs on both sides of the river valley are covered with cliff carvings and caves. There are two bulges in the middle of the mountain, just like the double humps of a camel, so it is also called &quot;Hump Mountain&quot;. Looking from a distance, the whole mountain is like a giant dragon lying on the ground, magnificent. Walking along the narrow ridge, the cliffs on both sides are daunting. 🛕Three religions in one, religious and cultural wonders ​
The magic of Erlang Mountain is that it is a holy place where Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are integrated. On the ridge of more than 1,000 meters before and after, there are more than 30 buildings of various types scattered around. The Dizang Cave Grottoes, which was built during the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty, is a Buddhist temple that enshrines Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The caisson stone carvings in the cave combine Taoist Bagua symbols with dragon, phoenix and lotus patterns, which are exquisite. The Three Religions Hall, which was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, enshrines Sakyamuni, Confucius and Laozi together.
