The sea breeze sweeps through the oyster-shell houses, and the fishermen&#39;s calls and ancient Nanyin tunes drift through the salty, humid air.

As night falls, the neon lights beneath the bell tower illuminate the arcade corridors. The aroma of earthworm jelly and ginger duck fills the streets, and saxophone music mingles with Minnan folk songs at the alley entrance. This is the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and also the home of human life. A thousand years have passed, but the prosperity remains.
