The beauty of Pingtan Island is a rhapsody unleashed by the Creator. Stretching along 408 kilometers of coastline, the basalt canyons of Xianrenjing (Fairy Well) appear to have been carved by a giant axe. At low tide, stepping into the 47-meter-deep well, waves crashing against the black reef stir up thousands of snowdrifts. The slanting morning light feels like stepping into the secret realms of Iceland. Sunsets at Changjiangao are a visual wonder: a 3,000-acre array of windmills is reflected on the mirror-like beach. Even more remarkable is the preservation of the character of a pristine fishing island. The clifftop road of the northern ecological corridor connects the colorful stone houses of Baisheng Village. However, shortcomings remain: the public transportation network is weak, and the infrequent island-wide bus service forces tourists to rely on expensive chartered vehicles. Some homestays advertised as &quot;sea view rooms&quot; are actually located in remote villages, making the bumpy dirt roads a heart-wrenching journey home late at night. By strengthening ecological protection (for example, limiting commercial development along the northern corridor) and cultivating its unique cultural heritage (for example, reviving the intangible cultural heritage of rattan shield exercises), this &quot;island closest to Taiwan&quot; can truly become the Hawaii of the East.

It&#39;s definitely worth a visit. I&#39;d definitely go again, but it&#39;s not suitable for men. The ancient architecture, the laid-back atmosphere, the cool weather&mdash;who would have thought this was Fuzhou in July?! The shops were all fantastic, and I didn&#39;t miss a thing. I explored all the cultural and creative areas, and the alleys are unique. I was completely satisfied with both the food and the drinks.

Meals: I didn&#39;t miss anything at Old Fuzhou. I ate there twice in a row. It&#39;s great value, but there&#39;s a line. I went to Zhuzifang after hearing a recommendation, but it was just average.

The meals were so good that I didn&#39;t have room for the snacks. I couldn&#39;t finish the peanut soup, taro balls, and brown sugar egg tarts. 😅

I&#39;m a three-dimensional photographer, but the difference isn&#39;t huge. It&#39;s mainly the AI editing. I&#39;ve lost myself in the experience; it&#39;s all about the experience. Otherwise, I&#39;d regret it.

I live nearby, check in at the Love Tree, and take photos anytime. It&#39;s stunning.

Houyan Island is part of the 68 Nautical Mile Island, a bit of a walk away, but there are paid tour buses. I encountered a fighter jet patrol&mdash;my first time seeing one, and they were incredibly close. There are several memorable photo spots on the island. Although it&#39;s closest to Taiwan, you can&#39;t actually see it because over 120 kilometers is still too far, haha.

It&#39;s very big and impressive inside. I went too late and didn&#39;t see the show. I just took pictures inside and walked around. It&#39;s a pity. It&#39;s worth a visit. I recommend going early in the morning. It&#39;s best to go on weekends when there are more performances. There is also an amusement park inside, and you can buy tickets separately to play
