The historic Sakata Fireworks Festival began in 1929 to commemorate the Port of Sakata's emergence as an important port. In 2025, the festival will feature many highlights, including a fireworks show jointly created by famous fireworks manufacturers from all over the country, a 1.2-kilometer aerial Niagara Falls using the Mogami River, and the simultaneous launch of three giant two-foot-high fireworks. In addition, local high school students will plan a fireworks show designed by elementary school students in the city for the first time. You will have the opportunity to experience a total of 10,000 fireworks. 
The fireworks feast created by famous fireworks makers creates a dazzling fireworks feast in the night sky. The finale of the Niagara aerial fireworks show, with three two-foot-high fireworks launched simultaneously, is a spectacular scene.
