If you are planning for Umrah or Ziyarat, Swissôtel Al Maqam is by far the better choice. The location is excellent – one of the closest hotels to Masjid al-Haram. It has two very convenient access points: one through the Abraj Mall and another that leads directly to the Haram. The lifts are very fast, which is a big help during peak prayer times. Although the cleaning service is a bit slow, the location and convenience make it an ideal hotel for Umrah. On the other hand, Swissôtel Makkah is not a good option compared to Al Maqam. The location and access are less convenient, and overall the experience feels weaker. If you have to choose between the two, always go for Swissôtel Al Maqam.

Overall, the hotel was excellent, especially with its great location near Al-Haram and the Kaaba. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast it would be nice to have more variety of options

Muhammad Alatas really kind helpfull officer in the reception desk. He made guest valuable. We do really appreciate for his effort to make our stay wonderful. The room was spacious, clean, partial view of masjidil haram. The cleaning service comes everyday to suck the dust in carpet. The breaksfast, lunch & dinner were superb. Really recommended hotel tto stay. We'd like to come back In sha Allah

Incredibly comfortable, definitely the right choice! It's very close to the beach, and there are plenty of stray cats around. Nights out were very relaxing, and coming back to the hotel felt incredibly cozy and welcoming. I'm definitely making this Ritz-Carlton my go-to spot for future stays.

Overall OK. On one occasion the room delivery guy ask for cash - he says machine not working? Towels look worn out. TV was not working when we check in, the technician takes over an hour to arrive but didn't solve the issue. We call again a different personnel came to solve it

Great impressive hotel. A grand lobby with beautiful lights and a small fountain with comfy seatings around it. We booked a room with a partial haaram view, thinking we would be getting the same room as in the pic. Turned out the haram view is just a small tiny view, and was informed by the hotel manager that the pic displayed during booking is incorrect.

My one king bed room has been upgraded to suite wirhout any additional charges. When we talk about suite, of course everything inside the room will be better than the normal deluxe room. But the most lovely part I cherished a lot is the view which direct to Masjidil Haram. The best part is that there is a direct speaker to the room from Masjidil Haram which you can follow for prayer. Furthermore, there is a shuttle bus operated 24hours to and from Masjidil Haram. Overall, this hotel is superb...

It was very nice staying. We were seeking staycation with family. So we could achieve it. Hotel is a bit old but very clean and well organized. And room is renovated. Valet was also good. However, kids cannot use indoor pool. Only outdoor pool is available for all family members. But I could enjoy my own time at sauna. Food also amazing.

GGuest UserNothing much to say except this is definitely what you call a 5 star. Everything from smooth check in to check out was perfect. Location very good to haram. Top hotel restaurant/buffet. So much options on food. The whole hotel looks great also, massive lobby. Service was quality from front of house to all porters/cleaners/chefs. And beautiful masjid built in hotel. Highly recommend, might be little pricey but honestly you’ll 100% get your moneys worth, especially for umrah/hajj. I was there last few days of ramadan and eid, thinking because of how busy it will be during this period, might not get a good service or late check in etc. but totally opposite. It was worth every penny. Im originally from uk so expecting quality for the price i paid. Definitely all paid off.

GGuest UserReally worse experience at front desk while checking in, they were unable to find my booking and made us to wait for around hour at reception. They asked me to contact Trip.com which did and booking was already confirmed. After nearly an hour waiting, front desk finally found my booking but I had spent extra £ to make phone calls to trip.com

MMarziraHotel Review: Raffles Makkah Palace My recent stay at Raffles Makkah Palace was absolutely outstanding, offering a seamless blend of luxury, thoughtful touches, and exceptional service that made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the reception team and delighted with a complimentary upgrade upon check-in. The upgraded room was not only spacious with breathtaking views but also impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, reflecting the hotel’s high standards. A special thank you to the reception manager, whose professionalism and welcoming demeanor made the check-in process smooth and set a positive tone for our stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction were truly appreciated. One of the thoughtful touches that enhanced our experience was the provision of bath salts, allowing us to unwind and relax after completing Umrah. It was a small but meaningful gesture that added to the overall sense of care. The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. The housekeeping team was proactive, consistently checking in to ensure we had enough towels, toiletries, and other essentials, contributing significantly to our comfort. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast service team was attentive and welcoming, ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. They even provided a walk-around tour of the buffet spread, introducing us to the menu and explaining the dishes. The breakfast theme was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of delicious options to suit every palate. Desta and Sandhy stood out for their exceptional hospitality. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and proactive in anticipating our needs, making us feel truly valued as guests. Hajar also deserves special recognition for her patience and creativity in resolving our requests with practical and thoughtful solutions. The in-room dining team, especially Farouk, provided excellent service. Farouk’s attentiveness and efficiency ensured that every meal was delivered promptly and with care, enhancing our overall experience. Raffles Makkah Palace sets the gold standard for luxury hospitality. With its outstanding service, thoughtful gestures, and exceptional team, it made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Makkah and look forward to returning for another incredible stay.

AAnonymous user 1I’m shocked, firstly they gave us a room on the 9 th floor which was rotted to the core (pictures will be provided). Then they gave us another room renovated said by Riyan, he was helpful. The luggage took an hour coming up. Unusual to see, one of my luggage was opened and the lock was inside the suitcase. When I complained, Mr Faisal was most helpful and said he will have the cctv cameras checked. And didn’t get back with me so after hours I spoke to the night manager he said we viewed the cameras, no one had opened the luggage. And in the morning when I asked to view the CCTV footage they said no! It seemed a dull answer! So I got in touch with the Movenpick hotel where we stayed a night too, they still said get a report from the police station and you’re welcome to see the footage! As the last picture we had of the suitcase was taken to show to the uber to show how many pieces we have in that picture it was clearly showed the lock is on! Then in Movenpick we did not open that suitcase and moved to Pullman. Now calling Pullman they kept referring calls, as I explained to the one who I spoke with if Movenpick said it’s okay to view the cctv after the police report, can I view your footage too! They kept refer the call. So I ended up reporting the incident to the Embassy. If this incident has happened to anyone go as far as the headquarters of Pullman, and report it to the Embassy. I’m quite shocked, nothing was taken seriously..! Take care of your luggage please!!!! Regardless it’s locked. The Asian staff are not to be trusted.

GGuest UserI had booked a junior suite with breakfast and lounge access. However, i was surprised when I was told upon check-in that I don't have lounge access. I was totally disappointed and complained to trip com. Joyce was the trip com rep who called me back and asked for a few minutes to talk to the hotel. During this time, the female customer service rep Miss Lama called me and offered an upgrade to the executive suit with lounge access. I am very thankful to Miss Lama, who provided an exceptional service and also said that this is your 2nd home. Other staff Miss. Darwesha Ebrahim Miss. Maha Alsufyani, Mr.Kaisul Hassan, and another female Saudi staff at lounge reception were excellent and definitely an asset to Sheraton Hotel. Miss. Joyce from Trip.com is an exceptional staff with a very positive attitude to resolving the issue. Thank you, Trip.com and Sheraton Hotel Makkah

DDr. UmairThis hotel is phenomenal and I can't recommend it enough. The staff, from the moment I arrived, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Mr. Abdallah Al Ansari, in particular, was exceptional—so knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful. The check-in and check-out processes were both seamless, the facilities were excellent, and the breakfast was a magnificent, mouth-watering feast after performing Omra. A major highlight is the location, just a five-minute walk to Gate 79 of Al Haram. The hotel also holds the Guinness World Record for the highest suspended prayer room in the world, an amazing feature that adds to an already wonderful experience.

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent, and the Red Sea is about 100 meters away. Facilities: Not bad, and the room is big. The mattress is really soft and has good support. This Simmons mattress is the most comfortable I have ever slept on in my life. The last photo is the view from the window, and the Red Sea is not far away.
