Situated nearly 30 miles (48 km) south of London, Gatwick has 2 terminals. Located just outside Luton in Bedfordshire, the airport is popular among low-cost airlines flying to Europe. The airport is quite far from the centre of London, but also benefits from a range of transport connections to the city: By road: Driving to Luton Airport from central London will take at least 1 hour 30 min. National Express coaches go from London to Luton Airport up to 35 times a day (tickets only £5). A taxi ride is quicker but will cost around £45. By rail: Direct trains to Luton Airport Parkway are available from Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and St Pancras International. Located 9 miles (14.4 km) east of the city centre, Inverness Airport is the main business and leisure hub for travel to the Scottish Highlands and nearby islands. There’s no direct rail access at the airport, but it can be reached easily by car on the B9039, via the Inverness-to-Nairn A96 road. Airport facilities include a branch of WHSmith, where passengers can grab some last-minute essentials before their flight. There’s also a restaurant, a café / bar, a coffee shop, a cash machine, an exclusive lounge, a chapel, baby changing facilities, a post box, Internet access and conference room facilities for business travellers.
