Located in China, Qingdao is a beautiful city to visit. This modern seaside city has managed to preserve its treasures from the past and attracts businessmen and tourists from all over the world. It has the Yellow Sea on two of its sides and is home of the largest bathing beach in the continent. Qingdao Port is the second largest in the city and handles a lot of the country’s trade. It has witnessed an exception growth in the past decade and attracts a lot of foreign investments with its three central business districts.

Located about 31 km from the center of the city, the Qingdao Liuting Airport is the one that serves the city. Taking a flight is the most convenient way of travelling from London to Qingdao. Cheap flights from London are offered by Wiz Air UK & Capital Airlines, LOT & Capital Airlines, Air China & Shandong Airlines and a few more. Direct flights to Qingdao are not available. British Airways, China Eastern, Air China, and Ryanair also offer London to Qingdao flights.

Things to Do
With enchanting sea views, abundant natural beauty, and clear air, Qingdao is a dazzling modern city that can put most of the Chinese cities to shame. The beautiful hillside villas with red roofs, age-old German architecture and winding cobbled streets of Qingdao are a treat to the eyes. There is a lot to enjoy here, whether it is the city diverse and delicious food scene or its beer Tsingtao.
The weather too is pleasant all year around as the presence of the sea keeps summers cooler and winters warmer.
The Governor’s House Museum built in the style of a German Palace is a great example of concession-era architecture in the city. Visit the Zhongshan Park, which is spread over 69 hectares and includes walking paths, gardens and lakes. It is a great place to take your kids too. One of the best landmarks in the city is St. Michael’s Cathedral built in Gothic and Roman style. Tianhou Temple is , small temple that was built in 1467 and one a great place to visit.
If you want to feel take a stroll on clean beaches or enjoy the crystal clear water of the sea, Shilaoren Beach is the place to visit. You can also try bodyboarding here as the waves are very high.
Visit the Tsingtao Beer Museum to enjoy beer and catch a glimpse of the preserved brewing equipment, old photos and more. The Beer Street is another place great place for beer lovers. This street is lined with restaurants and drinking holes where you can taste yuánjiÄng, a deliciously dark unfiltered beer.
Shawn Tren’s is a great place to enjoy authentic Shandong cuisine. You can also visit the Mix C Food Court, a favourite among the locals for dumplings, roast duck, noodles and much more.
Tip: There are many museums, beaches and parks in the city. Make a list of the top five and visit each of them to have a fulfilling experience.
