Travelers Reviews of Kyoto Prefecture Hotels

Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo-Karasuma
4.6/51107 Reviews
The hotel is close to Karasuma-oike station. However, if you have a luggage, it is easier to exit by elevator from Exit 5 and cross the road to the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Space is decent for a family of 3. We also liked that they have a common place at the lobby where we can eat or snack. They also offer coffee, water and other amenities (toothbrush, cotton buds, face wash etc) too.

Location is perfect. Very near Kyoto station, less than 5 minutes walk. Room was very comfortable! Toilet and shower are separated. Staff were very courteous. You need to purchase detergent at 50 yen for laundry. Use of machines is free. Onsen was great. There’s a sauna and multiple shower cubicles. Also features outdoor onsen. There’s a basic gym as well. Didn’t try the breakfast.
Rihga Gran Kyoto
4.6/5656 Reviews
Kyoto Station
Location was great, just 250m from Kyoto Station. And, with a Don Quixote along the way. Reception staff were well-spoken, attentive and quick to assist. What made Rihga Gran different from the 5 other hotels we stayed at this trip was the Guest Lounge, and the complimentary refreshments offered. Hot and cold beverages and local snacks are definitely welcome after long days out sightseeing.
Kyoto Umekoji Kadensho
4.7/5465 Reviews
Kyoto Station
Location wise just one stop from kyoto train station. Free flow drinks, private bath and public bath available. Midnight noodles & ice cream available from 9-11pm. Japanese course dinner served special menu from their chef. Buffet breakfast choices were a lot. Can store luggage before check in or after check out. Provide luggage transfer with some fees within kyoto area. Definitely worth to pay a visit to experience kyoto culture. 👍🏻

Hotel is conveniently located close to Umekoji train station, with the Umekoji park next to it. Hotel is spacious with plenty of communal space for family activities. Great place for family to chill out for a few days whilst exploring the greater Kyoto area.
The OneFive Kyoto Shijo

Kyoto Gosyo/Karasuma
This hotel has a perfect location. It has many bus stops around. There is a 7 11 at the basement and Sukiya in front of the hotel. The hotel room is big for Japanese standards. The room is clean and big. The only downside is they don't clean rooms everyday they change the towels and throw the trash. We stayed there for 3 nights. I enjoyed our stay, Bonus is, there was a quick snowfall around its vicinity. we will definitely go back if we go back to Kyoto.
The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Umekoji
4.7/5920 Reviews
Kyoto Station
We stayed for 1 night at the Royal Park hotel to explore Kyoto, where is very convenient location, right off walking distance from RJ train line. We are very impressed the spaciousness and cleanness of the room. We didn’t have enough time to dine in the restaurant and other facilities the hotel has to offer. We came early and the front desk staff are very polite and attentive to assist us with the luggages and directed us to a Michelleen ramen place a few blocks away.
The Blossom Kyoto
4.7/5255 Reviews
The hotel environment is very beautiful. The lobby is very nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English. The welcome snacks are delicious and feel very warm. The room is absolutely spacious and can accommodate a lot of luggage. The nearby bus station is very convenient for going to nearby attractions in Kyoto, but it is far from the subway station.
Hotel Keihan Kyoto Ekiminami
4.7/51042 Reviews
Kyoto Station
We had a good stay at Keihan Kyoto. The hotel was well located, just across the station which makes our move really convenient either by train , bus or metro. The room was big enough for the three of us. It has a large window, a bathroom with a small bathtub and a little sofa. We had a large bed with a comfortable mattress. The breakfast buffet offers Japanese dishes and several western options. Finally, the staff was really nice and helped us when needed.
