The rooms are spacious and feature a modern design, and I especially loved the courtyard! They also provide free laundry services, which is convenient for long-term travelers. What a welcome sight at the end of the first day hiking. Our room with the balcony was just superb. Being able to sit out on the balcony and take in the view was wonderful. Also the food was delicious. So nice to have some western breakfast options available . Pancakes were delicious.

Extremely good accommodation within the Dukezong Old Town. The owners are extremely friendly and kind towards us. They pick us up from the front gate to their hotel and back once we left too. Managed to help us book a bus ticket as well as secured a scooter for use around town. Rooms were very big and new, very well suited for long stay. Highly recommended!

This place is situated in a good location. It may seem hidden in a quiet area (behind local shops and restaurants), but it is within walking distance to Lijiang ancient town. It is also within walking distance to a beautiful park where you can see the snowy mountain in the background and beautiful garden. People are dancing, exercising, chilling and doing tai chi. The check in was easy and receptionist were friendly. They carried our suitcases up to our bedroom. The room we stayed in was very cozy and comfortable. It was very clean, the bathroom was clean with very good water pressure and hot water. They laundry soap in the bath so you can handwashing your clothing items or you could just use their self service laundry facilities on the 5th floor. The beds were comfy and pillows were very comfy. This place provides activities that you could participate in if you wanted to, such as making buttered tea etc. The view on the top floor is amazing and perfect for when you’re having breakfast. The breakfast is made for you and it was delicious. 👍👍

This is tricky. The location is very good in the sense that it is right smack in the ancient city. However, it is quite a distance you'll have to walk from where cars will drop you because cars are not allowed in. If you have some luggage, it is tiring to carry them in, on the sloppy terrain. It also didn't help when it was raining so the stone road was slippery. On a Saturday night, the music from the surrounding bars was loud. Food options were plentiful and near by. The person is charge (maybe owner) is really nice. He is very helpful not only about facilities in the hotel but also things in general. His staff recommended us to watch 千古情 and that was incredible. Overall, it was a very nice stay and the staff are very helpful.

A little gem just around the corner from the lively part of town. Inside the Ancient City and near the East Gate where buses leave for local and long distance destinations. The young owners are very caring and make sure you have everything you need. They advise you on travel tips. The room was very good, quiet, bright, modern, and had a very comfortable king size bed and a small table with two chairs. Darkening blinds made sure it was dark at night. The bathroom was quite roomy and modern. The building has 3 floors, there is no elevator, but the owners help you with your luggage. I highly recommend this lovely inn with its kind owners and would stay here again. A big thank you!

I have been looking forward to staying here ever since i started my 12 day china trip and it was one of the best lodging ive had. The view was amazing. The bed was heated, and got two blankets per person which makes it super cozy. The walls were thin so could hear people on the side of our room 😂 Though the bathroom was separated but it got compensated with an amazing view. The lady who was handling the check in could be friendlier though. But other than that, the staff at the restaurant was so welcoming and super helpful though they dont speak english. And they thought me a little chinese too! Thanks 😆 I would definitely book here again if i ever come here. It’s all i ever talk about with my husband ever since we got back from our trip.

First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of April 2024). It is centrally located in the old town, and public transportation (limited though it may be) is easily accessible. Of course, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very good, clean and in good condition, with all the necessary amenities. The staff was kind and helpful, and you may store your bag before check in and after check out. Perhaps one thing to note, is that you shouldn't count on your room having any particular view - my room had a view of the courtyard. Overall, a very good option for those who wish to stay in the ”old” town.

We really enjoyed our stay here 😊😊 From when we first check in, the lady and the male receptionist help with both our heavy luggages to the 3rd floor. They are so strong!! When we check out early in the morning, the guy also helped carry our luggages all the way down. Thanks for that. So what can I say... The room - it huge!!! It has everything you need in this room, and I mean everything. We loved the filter water with both hot and cold. Make it so much easier and convenient. They also provide oxygen and humidifier if you ever need it. Then there is the smart toilet, which is so nice and also has auto flush. The water pressure is good and good heating too. Lastly, not to mention the little washing machine, which comes in handy!! Please note, the cleaning lady only do basic top up if you are still staying in the room. But don't be afraid to ask them if you need them to do a full clean. Location - it less than 5 mins walk to the old town, so very convenient. This is great as it is not inside the old town which means car cannot drive in and will be a problem carrying luggages in the old town. Service - excellent. From the people that greet you to the cleaning lady, they are all very friendly and helpful. Also receive a leaving gift when we check out. Overall, I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in this hotel!

A very nice place, short walk from the ancient city but far enough away from the hustle bustle of the ancient city. Overall clean place and the owner is usually found sipping tea at the lobby. You can join him for a chit chat or get his help to book tours or buy stuff like tea or flower cakes. He is very professional and subtle in his selling approach. Breakfast is mixian 米线 served with sides by an older lady. Delicious! Lots of other food options nearby

A cozy inn with friendly staff. They are always willing to share and give exchanges on travelling tips. As the location of the inn is situated in the heart of 丽江古镇, they can also provide baggage ferry service from the edges of the 古镇 to the inn at a small cost. Since we arrived in Lijiang by rail, they also provided hotel transfer from railway station and the hotel at a cost. What impressed us most was their proactive concern for our well-being. Anticipating our needs at high altitude, they generously offered oxygen tanks to alleviate any potential discomfort. Their foresight and care were invaluable, especially given our unforeseen bout of high altitude sickness. In retrospect, we highly recommend spending a few extra days in Lijiang to acclimate to the elevation before heading to Snow Dragon Jade Mountain. A crucial tip: avoid showering before ascending to high altitude, as we learned the hard way! From arranging tours to providing essential advice, the team at Baisuifang went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Their genuine warmth and kindness made us feel like family. We can't wait to return and explore more of Yunnan Province's breathtaking landscapes. If you're planning a trip to Lijiang, look no further – this lodging is a true gem!

The hotel is very convenient to the ancient city. You don't have to worry if you can't find it, because no matter how late you arrive, there will be a handsome and responsible housekeeper brother who is 185+ to pick you up in person. I feel safe and I am not afraid of traveling alone this time. The room is very clean, the furniture and facilities are also very new, and the yard and rooftop are very beautiful. The flower cakes and fruits in the yard are delicious (the most delicious flower cakes I have eaten near the ancient city, no one) The boss is very good at making tea! The white tea is delicious👍 Here is also a great photo studio in the ancient city. Check in and get a free photo shoot in the ancient city. I went to experience it and it was so beautiful🥹 Oh, I would like to give an extra praise to the housekeeper Xiaoshu in the yard where I live! Such a sincere and enthusiastic boy, I came back too late on the first day and didn't eat, and he took the initiative to bring me Yunnan snacks, black rice sausage jelly milk tea, so many🥡I am so touched🥲The recommended barbecue is also delicious! In short, it's great! I love Lijiang so much, I will come again next time🥘

The room layout is considerate and reasonable Environment: elegant and comfortable Clean and hygienic, considerate service, The gourmet breakfast is very unique and fragrant. The most intimate thing is that the dog baby is waiting for you to come home at the door every day

We loved our stay here! The owner is so kind and helpful. Without him we wouldn’t have managed to travel around the area and explore so many things 😃 he also makes amazing Yunnan tea and coffee! The guesthouse is very nicely designed in a modern way, we had everything we needed and we felt very much at home. It is located right next to the old town, you can easily reach the main sights in Lijiang Old Town on foot. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. It’s the perfect guesthouse in Lijiang 😊

Amazing stay at this BnB for 2 nights. The host helped to arrange for pick up service before we arrived and also sent us to the railway station when we left. They were also really friendly and hospitable throughout our entire stay. Breakfast was simple and homely but good. Some insects were in our room which came in through open window and the host helped to resolve the issue really quickly! Highly recommend :)

Super friendly staff who recommended nice dinner places. Room is a bit small, but this hotel is located in the ancient city, so it is understandable. There is construction going on at the main street outside the hotel, so you have to pull your luggage across a few alleys. Breakfast not included.

The Yunduan Nanshe Homestay is an outstanding but very affordable hotel located near the ancient city in Dali. You can perfectly plan to stay one or two nights of your holidays in this place to enjoy all the landmarks and activities around the hotel. The hotel is not bad for the price. The staff are friendly and rooms have all the amenities including air conditioning, free wifi, toiletries, towels, hair dryer, toothbrush, shampoo and soap. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool at the rooftop with great views to the city. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars within 10 min or less walking distance.

We stayed in a room for 3 pax. The room is like a small apartment; spacious as it comes with 2 separate rooms and a common bathroom. As we were not used to using disposable towels, they have replaced them with normal cotton towels. We were staying at the 2nd floor and bathroom and has good water pressure. Service at the reception is top notch and really commendable. They were patient and offered to help book tickets and shared coordinates of locations as we were not able to read Chinese. When we checked out , we received 2 boxes of flower biscuit which was unexpected and was a pleasant surprise. As the hotel is situated near the east gate, it’s a good choice if you intend to travel towards erhai lake area.

I decided to stay here one more night in the same hotel. It's perfect so there was no point of changing ! As I said before Fantastic place. Hotel looks great ! Rooms very nice, very clean. Super friendly staff ! A lady over there helped me to get my itinerary done, got me a scooter and showed me the best places to eat ! 10000% recommended ! Moreover the lady saved my life and my taobao parcels. They were not coming on time so she helped me to redirect them. I'd never do this myself !

He welcomed us with a pot of tea and delicious rose cake (a Dali specialty) while we waited for our room, and later surprised us with fresh fruit delivered directly to our room. He also provided gentle reminders about breakfast and the nightly soup offering, which was a lovely touch. Speaking of breakfast, it was quite decent with a good variety of local choices like rice noodles, corn, egg, and mini buns. The owner was always ready to assist with anything we needed, from recommending fantastic restaurants to helping us book bus tickets. Unfortunately, we had an accident during our trip, and the owner's response was incredible. He went above and beyond to help us, showing genuine care and concern. We felt like we were being treated like family, and we are so grateful for his patience and support during a difficult time. We 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Dali. The combination of stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service make this a true gem!

Would Highly recommend this hotel. Free shuttle service from and to the Airport was offered. Check in was easy. We had fresh fruit in the room upon arrival. Had wine and soup brought to our room every night. Can easily request for anything via WeChat (as we don't understand Chinese) The resort is lovely. Really feels like we're in Greece and some lovely photo spots. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity as well. It's an hour drive to city centre but a good location for couples to relax.

Given how jammed Dali can get, walking was the best option, and this hotel’s location made it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot. The staff here is simply the best I’ve ever encountered. I had many parcels delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and they not only managed all of them seamlessly but also offered to send out additional parcels on my behalf. Despite the hotel being fully booked, they attended to our requests promptly and always with a smile. Their dedication to going above and beyond was truly impressive. The staff also provided excellent recommendations for food and activities nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the views of 苍山 were amazing. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be back!
