Beautiful sunrise from the window overlooking the beach. They are rooms with a bathroom included, everything is spotless and very well cared for. The staff is very nice and the facilities are super new and very comfortable. They clean every two days but they always ask you if you need to change the towels or replenish the water or shampoo. The decoration is very nice and simple, with modern paintings and new furniture. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is included with a nice dining room with views of the sea as well and with wonderful staff who make sure you are comfortable. In addition to juice, coffee and tea, there are several dining options. Boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal or salty with tomato, ham and cheese. We came in winter and the beach vacation vibes were already felt, we will definitely repeat when it is warmer. Q

It has great potential as a manner park hotel with lively big grounds to explore unfortunately it’s not well kept & in need of renovation. I found this is a common problem with mostly stately home or manor house hotels in UK lacking of maintance maybe too costly ??

This is a manor hotel, and it looks pretty good from the outside. I still want to pick something wrong: First of all, it is the hygiene problem. Cobwebs can be seen everywhere, in the corner of the bathroom, on the walls of the room, and even in the menu of the food delivery. I can't understand such a thing appearing in a so-called high-end hotel. Inside; the waiter is still quite polite, but I called the front desk from the room to arrange the wake-up service for me the next day... but it was not done for me; the restaurant is said to belong to Fine Dining, from the perspective of the breakfast... Healthy, Do what I want for me with intentions, not sloppy; the hotel is equipped with a so-called clubhouse, including a separate gym, swimming pool, changing room (but no sauna, steam), the equipment is not perfect; in addition, there is a leisure The restaurant in the hotel can be used by the guests of the health center, but the selection of coffee beans is not good; the hotel's main building and the rooms are quite stuffy, airtight, and have no air conditioning. The ¥1670 twin room with two breakfasts is not very spacious, there is no small refrigerator, the sound insulation is poor, and the walk outside the doorway can be heard clearly... and it is shocking; there are actually two English-style billiard tables downstairs in the restaurant of the main building for guests. Play, that's the only big highlight. You have to check out at 11 o'clock, which can be delayed for an hour, and then you need to charge 50 pounds, but it does not say how long this charge will last.

Absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Jayne and Colin are the most convivial hosts and their dogs Harvey and Guineas are adorable. The home cooked  food is amazing and the portions are very filling and the local Longman beer is very drinkable . This was our second visit and we will certainly return.

AAnonymous UserIt was a decent stay and at off peak for £80 on a Saturday it’s not too bad. It’s a nice area of town and near to everything whilst still being quiet. The key code system as helpful asyou could come and go at any time and no check in process was needed. The room was a reasonable size but the bathroom was very small and tight. The room gad basic creature comforts like soap, small shower gel/shampoo pots and hot drinks facilities. The overall cleanliness was fine but the extractor fan in the bathroom was very dusty and the shower could’ve been cleaner with some hairs in it. The bed and key hygiene elements were clean though. The floors were quite thin so you could hear neighbours at times and the room could’ve done with a blackout blind really. If it was cheap to stay again I’d consider here, but I wouldn’t pay more than I did given the overall experience as some basics were overlooked as mentioned. Hopefully the feedback is constructive.

GGuest UserThe outside of the hotel is very scruffy, but this is because it is in the process of being refurbished. The rooms themselves were excellent, clean , modern (although the see through toilet door is a bit kinky in room 4.) Although being warned of the step inside the passageway to room 4 my wife tripped up it and the light needs improving or warning tape put on the step. We had to bring the date forward of our visit due to the impending death of a near relative and was very disappointed in having to pay a surcharge of £48.00 per room for the convenience of doing this although we believe the hotel did not have any reservations for these rooms, so could have waived the surcharge. We did not have occasion to eat at the hotel excepting for breakfast which was excellent.

GGuest UserThe staff is amazing from a to z, also bed linens and towels are clean like new. The mattress was very comfortable and good quality. The breakfast was very basic English with filtered coffee. But the building is almost falling apart which is a shame. It takes 15-20 minutes in bus A5 or 5 for £3 one way, which is quite handy. The free parking is fairly good and also handy. The cost for a double room was £175 and I believe that was way higher than it should. All I’m saying is that if I would have known, I could get a much nicer hotel for that amount.

SSam93The location was great and the room was spacious! I have arrived 40 mins prior to check in time they were all chill about it and let me check in early. One thing on heating system is that even tho it seems like you can set the heatings manually, it just doesnt work and you have to ask them to turn it on or off, when it’s on, it is not adjustable manually so you have no control over the room temperature. Second thing is there were only half roll of a toilet paper but there is a corner shop 2 mins away so i had to sort it myself. Would stay again

SsarahIt was a beautiful stay at Alexander. The room was nice and clean. Beautiful view of sea. Service was good.It was hot week when we visited, and there's no AC in room ,just had a little fan, and we had to open windows wide open that made a bit noisy at night. Breakfast was not on point, so don't include breakfast if you plan to visit. Near by so many other shops ,market and beach is on walking distance. It was all together nuce trip.
