Lovely, simple home stay. The hosts were super helpful and our room, although very basic, was clean and roomy. We hired bicycles on 2 days and cycled up to Angkor Wat. There’s a cycle track all the way up! Very flat too so an easy and really enjoyable ride. We also hired a scooter from hosts and went to Banteay Srei and then stopped off to see sunset at AW! Food at the home stay was ok amd laundry service was a blessing! They also organised a tour of AW with ‘Jim’ who was a lovely, knowledgeable man who showed us some interesting nature alongside the temples.

The hostel price offered star-rated service. The rooms were new and clean, with hot water, a refrigerator, and air conditioning. Towels and other cleaning supplies were also provided. You can even cook your own meals in the kitchen, which is perfect for travelers who enjoy cooking, as many local dishes are unpalatable. The owner, a German, has a charming and cozy atmosphere, instantly bringing a touch of European sophistication to the experience. We arrived around noon and hadn't eaten yet. While breakfast was the only option, the owner prepared lunch for us – a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine, which suited my taste perfectly. We even enjoyed lunch in our private thatched-roof room for the price of breakfast – incredibly relaxing! They also recommended their own cooking service, where you can order whatever you want, even things not on the menu. It seems the owner really enjoys cooking, but unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try it. When we were leaving, we needed to pay for the car rental gas, but we forgot to bring enough cash. It cost two US dollars, and the owner kindly offered to pay for it for us. As a result of my haste before leaving, I forgot a small piece of luggage. And with WhatsApp and WeChat being heavily regulated lately, international communication became a problem... But after much searching, I found that I could communicate online through the booking platform, which was a huge relief... Because of my lack of experience, the hotel owner was incredibly helpful, even offering to mail items for me without charging a service fee... They were considerate of the difficulties foreign tourists face, doing their best to assist. The Germans' civility and high level of courtesy made me call this hotel ”paradise,” and it truly was a place that made me feel very relaxed, like paradise. It wasn't just my body that felt cared for; my soul was also taken care of. It was truly relaxing... It's hard to imagine that the owner is German, from a completely different cultural background and not even a local, yet he exudes the same warmth and hospitality as many Chinese people... Such high value for money! The owner truly cares for every traveler with genuine compassion; he's incredibly nice and kind... Having traveled to so many countries and stayed in so many highly-rated hotels, this one is truly a gem. From cleanliness and facilities to service and ambiance, it's absolutely amazing—I highly recommend it! Next time I visit Angkor Wat, I'll definitely choose this hotel again.

Location One just needs to walk about 20 minutes to reach the tourist belt - shops and restaurants abound. Just outside the guesthouse is a small convenience shop, and in the evening, food carts are set up, and one can find some street food. Amenities Body and hair shampoo are not provided, only disposable toothbrushes and 2 pieces of small hand soap. There are mosquitoes, so one needs repellent to ward off the pesky insects. Service The staff are friendly, and they responded to requests quickly.

Overall, it is a friendly and quiet accommodation. It is far from the main street, so preferences may vary depending on taste, but the traditional market is not far away, so it was not inconvenient to use. I had some doubts about the cleanliness of the towels provided, but I trusted them and used them. Also, the water pressure was low, so I was disappointed when taking a shower. There is a delicious barbecue stall nearby, and the cafe where you can enjoy wifi and morning coffee for $1, as well as the local restaurant, were satisfactory. The best thing was the tuk-tuk driver (Mr. Dee) recommended by the accommodation, who made the memories of ‘Angkor’ happy. As the only survivor of the Khmer Rouge massacre, he wanted us to know about the national suffering at the time, and we satisfied him. (The memories of Gwangju on May 18, 1980 overlapped.) Thank you, Mr. Dee

The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the music is great. After a tiring day out, it's perfect to relax by the pool. The pool is clean and spacious enough. The owner is also wonderful, always greeting you with a smile. I really love it! 💕

“Nice Experience!” I spent 4 nights here on mission and I can say that everything was fine. The location of the hotel is quite close to my destination as well as some other centers in the Siemreap town center. I recommend this hotel to those having a business trip or vacation . And those who wish to stay near foods center and pub street.

Nice looking apartment with a comfortable bed and nice living area with a tv in the bedroom and the living area.No air conditioning in living room and kitchen area. Bedroom took a day to cool down. If insulated at all it would be a great place to stay once water heater was fixed. On the bright side the security guard was very kind, attentive and helpful.

GGuest UserSala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel. The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether you’re traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserLocation is pretty convenient, 15min walk to the Pub street, there’s 7/11 and laundry service right around the corner. Hosts are lovely and sweet; I booked the place via trip.com and the room they provided was different from the photos; i booked a nice looking white room as they showed on my reservation but I ended up in a different room which was dark and not as fresh looking as I was expecting. Bathroom is a bit tricky, water usually spills all across the floor, and takes time to drain. Room has both AC and a ceiling fan, they provide toothbrush and small soaps, as well as towels; no flip-flops. Room and bathroom were both quite spacious, although it was rather dark inside since lightbulbs don’t actually light up much. The bedding appears clean but it isn’t the most fresh and you can see some stains but it is in an acceptable condition, although the mat in front of the bathroom door was quite old and filthy looking. There isn’t a mini fridge or blow dryer in the room and also no sockets in the bathroom which was actually quite inconvenient. They have a nice small pool in the yard. Guest house doesn’t provide house keeping unless you ask; same with drinking water - you have to ask and they will give bottles. There was a child on the premises that often screamed, which was rather unpleasant during the waking hours tbh. Overall, it was a normal place considering the price; i would stay there again assuming that they provide the room I book and not something else.

SShaxlo NavruzovaThe location is very close to Ankor Wat, which made the trip there easier. I stayed with a family, not in a hotel, and I felt right at home! It was cozy, calm, and safe. The hotel is run by a dad and two daughters, Lina and Lisa. They're brilliant girls, always ready to help and offer advice. I've probably gotten to them. 😅 I think their knowledge of the language will be a big help in the future! On the very first day, the hotel owner took me around the area to show me the pagoda and to the supermarket so I could buy everything I needed. Honestly, I really felt so refreshed, giving me the opportunity to rest before my flight. I had a late flight at 12:00 a.m. and checkout at 12:00 p.m. I asked him and he allowed it. I got some sleep before the flight, for which I'm so grateful! I wish this family more tourists, success in business and all the best ❤️ and Lisa is a beauty, literate, interesting and generally cool

PPaul CORBENI booked a room a this hotel through Trip.com at the time I was travelling to a tight budget and photos of rooms made then look more spacious than they actually were. The furniture and bed took up most of the room, there was no lock box and a flyer was taped to the wall informing guests that the cable television wasn’t working and gave us details of the free wifi. I laid down on the comfy bed and realised I could not stay in this place for a week so I checked out to find another hotel. The staff were lovely and it is a cool little hotel for the budget traveler but with no functioning tv and no lock box in the room, I would recommend it for a short stay.

GGuest UserWe had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Pub Street and Night Market, making it super convenient. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted us with our luggage and were always ready to support us with any needs. Even when we arrived late and had a late check-out, they were flexible and accommodating. What's more, they even helped us book a tour successfully. We were truly impressed with the attentive and friendly service. We'll definitely be back and recommend to friends.

Great
As soon as she arrived at the airport, the lady boss arranged for someone to pick him up, all the way to her hotel. The service attitude of the proprietress is really great, and every detail is in place. Help us change beds and ask us what kind of breakfast we want to eat. The breakfast made in the morning is really good, and there are plenty of fruits to eat. Wake up in the morning, the air is fresh, and I feel the harmony between nature and people, as well as the beautiful human etiquette. She was very comfortable, and the lady boss was also very enthusiastic. She asked a lot of questions. He answered and helped us one by one. When we finally went to Phnom Penh, she also helped us order a great car. I have stayed in so many hotels in China, but the sense of service is not as good as that of the boss. Good time concept, understanding of needs, orderly, and enthusiastic service, it's really great! After experiencing what is people-oriented, this is the real achievement. A gentleman loves money and takes the right way. I have experienced it, profoundly, and I am very happy to have such a life experience. When I left, I couldn’t help but gave the boss’s wife a hug, moved and wished her a prosperous business.
