Taupo Debretts Spa Resort

Great location, there were a few things missing or hadn’t been replaced/fixed during cleaning but staff were lovely when we addressed this with them.
Anglers Lodge

We had a wonderful, quiet & undisturbed stay at the Anglers Lodge. The place is tranquil and was not crowded, so we really enjoyed the spacious grounds of the Lodge. The communal kitchen and bathroom facilities were super clean. Overall very well maintained. The pool and games room were much fun for the children. We did fishing at the bay right outside the Lodge. There is minimum 15-20min drive out from the Lodge to Coromandel and the Peninsula.

A good first stop over for our campervan trip as it is 1hr away from auckland airport. We checked in after opening hours (they close pretty early) but we could easily find our way and the check in instructions were clear and easy. Plenty of flies attracted to light at the campsite. Our camper was filled with flies and spent a long time chasing them away. So do be careful when turning on the lights when moving in and out of the camper.
At Parkland Place B&B

A homestay run by the owner Maria, her husband and her husband. The room is big and clean! When booking, it is said that breakfast is not included, but it is actually very simple, eggs, bread, milk, and fruit for breakfast. We left the store on Christmas Day. The host was very hospitable and worried that many stores were not open on Christmas Day. He specially took care of us if we didn't eat anything, we could meet at any time. He also gave us water, biscuits, and cheese for us to eat on the road. There were also 5 guests from California in the United States and England in Europe. Also, when making a reservation, please tell the truth about the number of guests (including children). The host arranges the room according to the number of people.
Waitomo Caves Guest Lodge

Right next to Tomo Bar, the location is very convenient. However, all rooms are built on the mountain, you have to take the stairs to your own room, and if you have a lot of shopkeepers, you will help with your luggage. The store is a very amiable and enthusiastic couple, will give travel advice, will also greet everyone warmly, breakfast is great and very home away from home experience. Going to play cave rafting will also provide towels to us, although Watomo is small, but the human touch is very strong. Next time I come to play, I will stay for a long time ~ Recommend the meal at Tomo restaurant next to it, great!

Nice place. We were close to the toilets/kitchen so not so much walking. 👌🏻 There wasn't a lot of people around so no loud noises and good access to amenities without having to wait. We had our own parking spot right in front of our door as well, which is nice.
Cambridge Coach House

Simple but nicely appointed chalet style rooms. Only stayed one night but it was comfortable and convenient. A few minutes drive into Cambridge, which is an unexpectedly charming country town with very good restaurants. Highly recommend the smokehouse.

The scenery is unique! The eldest brother is also very enthusiastic ~ everything is great! Suitable for bringing children to play ~ swimming pool, it will be very comfortable in summer ~ the surrounding is quiet. If you go, it is recommended to bring more food up the mountain ~ the experience is better
Waitomo Orchard Estate B&B

The environment is very good and the orchard is too beautiful. The host is very polite, especially waiting until breakfast to ask the guests how they feel.
Hot Water Beach Top 10 Holiday Park

Old chain, clean, tidy, guaranteed, and very close to the hot water beach. The hotel front desk also has various facilities and equipment for borrowing, which is very convenient. It's just a little remote and there's no signal for mobile phones.
