There are a bunch of negative reviews. I would disagree with that if you consider the area, the price and the room. Don't except more that you paid. Meanwhile, the cleaning is everyday. AC is also there. The price more than fair for this room.

One of the best and the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The interior is very beautiful, the entire story wall was impressive, and the furniture is beautiful, there’s a kitchen with plenty much everything if you want to cook and a comfortable bed. Altogether the design of the hotel and the concept are really cool. I read the book about the Alameda street they put in the room and was very impressed with the research and effort that was put into the hotel. Location is the best, close to pretty much everything, and Aliados metro station. I totally recommend Libere Porto Laranjais and would be happy to stay there again, but maybe in summer next time:) December is a bit cold, I needed to put in the air conditioner all the time:)

The location is good, there is a parking space and an elevator that can be reached without going up the stairs first. It is clean and tidy. There are washing machines and dishwashers. It is a 5-minute walk to the most popular pedestrian street and Farmer's Market, which is very convenient. Maria at the front desk was very welcoming. We lost our door key and she promptly replaced it without any extra charge. Thank you.

Pros - Location - easy access to Porto downtown area (3 metro stations to Sao Bento) - I choose travelling by metro as walking uphill and downhill in Porto is really tiring! - Room size as well as toilet - spacious enough even for two people, facilities - I like the kettle for boiling hot water. - Water from the shower very powerful and comfortable. - 2 bakery cafes nearby for taking breakfast (with reasonable price), one Chinese restaurant nearby provides hot food. Cons - Did not expect there was nobody at hotel front desk upon my arrival. With the help of a kind lady, I could communicate with the hotel staff via whatsapps and was able to check in without problem. ( I would like to say thanks to that kind lady) - No elevator, staying at lower floors is preferrable. - the room floorings had a cracking sound while walking, may be the building was a little bit old.

GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

AadyanisI stayed at this hotel for one night as a quick stopover, and it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is situated right across from the beautiful Crystal Palace Garden and is easily walkable to numerous great local spots. I was also impressed by the staff's thoughtfulness. They proactively sent me a list of recommended local eateries and quickly responded to my questions before I arrived. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciated having an adjustable air conditioner and a nice, hot shower. They also provided free snacks, a coffee machine, and thoughtful additions like books and board games in the common area. It is important to know that this is a renovated building that preserves its original features. While this adds to its charm, it means there is no elevator. I was lucky to book a ground-floor room, which I strongly recommend if mobility is an issue or if you have heavy luggage. As is common with older architecture, the sound insulation isn't the best. I didn't find it overly bothersome in my room, but sensitive sleepers should be aware. In my opinion the hotel offers excellent value for money and a genuine experience.

YYUWEII had a wonderful stay at Ruby Charm Houses. The host was extremely kind — he personally welcomed me outside when I arrived and also came to say goodbye when I left. He patiently gave me travel suggestions tailored to the length of my stay and reminded me of important things to keep in mind during my trip. The environment itself is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding, though unfortunately my schedule was too tight to fully enjoy it. What impressed me most was the thoughtful hospitality: plenty of high-quality complimentary food, fresh fruit, drinks, and even local red wine were provided. Everything was well prepared with great care. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I truly appreciated the host’s attention to detail.

GGuest UserAmazing location, in the middle of everything you need to see & all the restaurants, patios, live music, etc. The hotel & the room is tiny but that’s expected with a historical place like this. We stayed in room#2 & it had a window facing the historical wall of this building, so don’t count on much of a view or natural light! A little bit of uphill but again that’s Porto, you can hardly get around without uphills & downhills! The owner Maria & the manager Martha are attentive & caring & ensure you have a great experience with your stay. When we arrived a welcome Portuguese tart was offered which was delicious & also Martha said you can pour yourself Port wine (also super tasty) any time,

MM260668****The room was fine, all white. When I booked, a 400 RMB security deposit was charged to my credit card. The booking platform said the hotel would refund it. When I asked the hotel staff, they said they didn't know and hadn't collected it offline, so I didn't know if it would be refunded. Also, after checking out that morning, I discovered my wallet was missing and immediately went back to look for it. Knowing it was highly unlikely to be found, I just wanted to take a look, giving up hope. Upon arrival, two staff members said the room had been thoroughly disturbed and nothing was left. I asked if I could go in and see if I had dropped anything under the bed, but they wouldn't let me. Then they said a new guest had checked in. I knocked on the door and asked if I could take a look, but the two staff members also said no. One of the women, seeing my concern, offered me a glass of water, which I appreciated, but I still don't understand why they didn't allow me to.

GGuest UserIdeal location, you can get to the metro minutes 10-15 on beautiful streets. Nearby a ton of cafes and restaurants of different price categories. The room itself is not big. There is no refrigerator. But it is very comfortable. There were no cockroaches, no ants, no dirty clothes as it was written in other reviews. There are a few night bars downstairs. It's very noisy, the guilt of the votes. But it doesn't stress me, I can sleep at least on a disco. But 99% of people won't like it. There are berushes in the room, but they're unlikely to help. The biggest minus of a hotel that overlaps a lot of its pluses is that the staff member can enter your room without your consent and permission in your absence. Like they did to me. What they did there was not clear, but there was a dirty black straw (photo applied).

TTrip LOVERssThis hotel is located very closed to highway so it was a bit noisy when I was sleeping. The size of the room is too small and the light in the shower is damaged and off so I have to take shower at dark. The bed is too low and not comfortable and I don’t feel the floor is clean enough to walk with my bare foot. The hotel is also difficult to find and I have to walk more than 15minutes to get to the hotel. It wasn’t a pleasant stay with this hotel and next time I will not book an airport hotel.
