Hostels in Auckland Region, New Zealand

The location is great, the service is good, and the facilities are complete. There are people who stay for many days and make this their home.

The price/performance ratio is really high, it is the cheapest place to stay in Auckland. But I don't think it is suitable for permanent stay, the bed is very uncomfortable and makes noises all the time. The kitchen is very good, and you can meet people from many countries here.

One of my favorite hostel. -Staff are very friendly - Convenient location with bus stop right at the front - Dorm room is very clean and spacious - Locker and fridge in each dorm room - Air Conditioner - Window can be opened for fresh air I also stayed in their private room and it's also very clean and comes equipped with a fridge, air conditioner and a study desk/chair.

third time at Hobson always in the female dorm at the second floor and it didnt disappoint as usual. Fair to say it was way more crowded than my last times so the kitchen wasn't the cleanest but apart from that good stay and good sleep

I think I’m very fortunate of staying here because they upgraded my room to be private ensuite. Everyone is so kind and friendly. I arrived at 11 pm and they still stayed awake waiting for me. Thank you Haka House Auckland!!

Wir haben das Hostel nur für einen Tagesaufenthalt von einigen Stunden genutzt, um die Wartezeit für unseren Rückflug zu überbrücken und um sich noch einmal ausruhen und frisch machen zu können. Dafür hatten wir ein richtiges Zimmer gebucht, also kein Mehrbettzimmer. Für diesen Zweck war es völlig in Ordnung und ausreichend sauber. Für einen echten Hotelaufenthalt über Nacht und zum Wohlfühlen ist es jedoch nicht geeignet. Dafür ist alles zu spartanisch, unattraktiv und unbequem. Ich muss aber auch dazu sagen, dass unsere Ansprüche generell hoch sind und wir ausschließlich Hotels für Übernachtungen buchen. Dieses Hostel, war wie gesagt nur für ein paar Stunden tagsüber gedacht. Junge Backpacker, die gerne in Hostels übernachten, würden das Haus möglicherweise anders einschätzen als wir. Die Gemeinschaftsräume haben wir nicht genutzt, lediglich mal einen Blick hineingeworfen (siehe Fotos). Für den o.g. Zweck also voll in Ordnung, für mehr (aus unserer Sicht) aber nicht.

It's quite far from the CBD and the entrance has stairs, so it might be inconvenient if you have a large suitcase. It's helpful to have individual lockers with keys. Also, it was helpful that the kitchen was available 24 hours a day. I stayed at three Bapper hotels, but this one was the best.

It faced the park, so it was quiet and nice. The shared kitchen was spacious and had a microwave, cooking utensils, and tableware. I also felt that the shared bathroom was well-used. It's a little far from the city center, but there's a supermarket nearby and a bus stop nearby, so it wasn't that inconvenient. I'd like to stay here again if I come to Auckland.

Nice location, clean and spatious kitchen and bathroom. They have the showers with the little changing room first, those are excellent. Everything is quite nice, only minuses are the rooms are super hot, with only one fan that doesn't cover the entire room, and the beds don't have curtains, so a little lacking in privacy. But hey, it's a hostel!

More suitable for young people, free and open atmosphere, and the health condition is okay
