I’m a regular traveller and had started to stay at this hotel every month but I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Especially with the COVID pandemic going on. The carpet was full of crumbs, the large shower towel was stained, there were finger prints on door handles and toilet flush (showing it hadn’t been cleaned). I never complained and cleaned it all down myself as I was too tired and couldn’t be bothered to move rooms. But I have opted to stay at a different hotel for my next stay in a few weeks time.

Stayed on 1st Oct for an overnight stay whilst visiting the P&J. The man on reception who checked us in barely spoke a word. Noticed the few couples in front getting complimentary drinks and we were not offered (oh well). Room was fine but was rather dusty, however when you pay £48 for a room I wasn’t expecting glam. Stains in the sinks & toilet, uncomfortable bed and only 1 pillow for a double bed. Once in bed realised the bedding was ripped on the underside - therefore cleaners tried to hide it. Was quite a cold sleep in the end.. Decided to grab a bite to eat down in the bar. Lady at bar forgot to put on a pizza (flavoured bread) for our table therefore one party member was left waiting an extra 25 mins when she promised “5” . Therefore we were nearly late for our show. Upon checkout again it was slow, however when checking my bank account when I had already got home, I’d been charged twice for the room even though my receipt says for 1 only. Was charged £10 for parking even though signs say £5. Was given no explanation from reception staff. Trying to contact the hotel for refund but can’t get through (not surprised). Will keep trying!! Shame because the hotel looks nice & quirky however you do get what you pay for and no more.

Our Aberdeen Airport hotel is the ideal stop-off whether you're jetting away or in the area on business. We're handy for the A96 and all roads leading north, while all the sights and sounds of Aberdeen are close at hand too. The hotel features our new generation bedrooms, each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. See your favourite rock band at the AECC, the North East of Scotland's premier event venue. Or stroll through the Aberdeen, enjoying the sparkling silver buildings of the so-called Granite City. There's a feast for the eyes on every corner, with theatres and concert venues aplenty - and there's a feast waiting for you back at the hotel too, at our Thyme restaurant.

The small sink is so cute! !! If you catch a flight the next day, it is a good choice for classmates and parents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning. [Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds. [Health] Very clean hotel [Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer) [wifi] Wi-Fi is free [Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons. [Parking] You can park downstairs [Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Because the Scottish people are too enthusiastic, London will not, and the front desk will not answer (not for the Chinese but for everyone).

A very nice small hotel, 5 minutes walk from the airport and 2 minutes from the bus stop to the city centre. Good advice, including taking 1 bus ticket day instead of 2 tickets (going and returning): cheaper ...We will return to it if we have a new stairway in Aberdeen !!!

Because I arrived late, the airport staff super helpfully called me at the front desk of the hotel. The shuttle bus came quickly to pick up the room. It was still the standard of the Hilton. It was very clean. It was about 15-20 pounds fare from the city center.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good.

Lovely country house hotel on the southern edge of Aberdeen with easy access to city. Welcoming hotel with a very traditional feel in the main building. Bedrooms are modern and our Standard room was well equipped with a large double bed and plenty of tea coffee etc. The hotel is dog friendly for a small charge. We had lovely cooked breakfasts and continental also available. We ate breakfast in the drawing room, as dogs understandably not allowed in main restaurant. We only ate in the bar area one evening which was cosy and fast service. Friendly staff and nice touch of a Birthday platter delivered to room in recognition of a significant Birthday being celebrated.

We had the most wonderful holistic facial treatment and bank massage. Nikki and Leanne are just lovely and very very good at what they do. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, relaxed and in safe hands! One of the best Spa Treatments we have ever had. Thank you Nikki and Leanne! Note: It is a small spa with treatment rooms and relaxation rooms however there isn’t a pool, sauna, hot tub etc. We were aware of this before we got there so not a problem for us but just putting this here for info for others because we found it hard to find this information on the website.

On arriving at reception to check in on Saturday, the reception staff found that I had booked the room for previous night [Friday] and this had in turn been documented as a No Show. The staff were helpful in offering an alternative room- there were no Stanard King Rooms left for the Saturday Night, only the Apartment Suites. We thanked them and left, stating we would try and find something else. Naturally, I became upset on leaving after making such a mistake- When outside heading back to the car, the Booking Manager (i think his name was Barry) approached us and said he would have a look and see if he could help. He was able to move our booking from the Friday to the Saturday for no extra cost, and also upgraded us to the Apartment Suite free of charge. We were so grateful and appreciative for his help and he saved our weekend so we could continue to celebrate my Birthday as we had planned. The room was spacious and comfortable with a kitchenette, bathroom with over bath shower, king size bed and a fridge amongst the facilities available. 5 stars all round

My friend and I were attending an event in the hotel. The hotel is in a superb location. Within walking distance from the train station, shops and fantastic pubs and eatery’s We were checked in by two lovely ladies who were happy and efficient. They directed us to the lifts and off we went to find our room. Our room was very small but clean. It was dark and the lighting was terrible. The bulb in our bathroom above the mirror was not working which made it extremely difficult for us to see properly. The bathroom itself was modern enough. The fan came on when you turned the light on and it made an awful noise which was extremely annoying. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. We did not have any problems with noise like others have mentioned previously. We had breakfast the next day and it was terrible! We hardly ate a thing. The hot food choices were limited and of poor quality and the staff looked miserable and were not overly friendly. The tables are in need of replacement as they were badly marked and sloping. Overall I would stay in the hotel again due to the fantastic central location and hope to get one of the rooms with better lighting.

Stayed at the Premier inn Aberdeen city centre as a solo traveller. Felt very safe, you get exactly what is advertised on tv, spacious room, very comfy bed, flat screen tv, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast is a separate cost, either continental at £7.99 or unlimited continental and cooked breakfast at £9.99. If you want to check in before 3pm, it’s only £10 and well worth it. Walking distance to the sights of Aberdeen, bus station and railway station. If taking the bus (no. 727) from Aberdeen airport, get off at Marischal College as that is the closest bus stop.

This is now my 3rd visit to these apartments and had I reviwed this prior to this stay it would have been a clear 5* review. I've not long checked in and to say I'm underwhelmed is an understatement. I chose a 1 bedroomed apartment so we would have plenty room to move around similar to my previous visits. However, the allocation this time around amounts to the size of a studio apartment but with an extra door leading to the bed. The view from the window is of a brick wall a few feet away. The living area is compact and unfortunately if you value privacy you need to keep the blinds firmly shut as there are properties directly opposite in close proximity. One of the windows doesn't close properly leading to a constant draft. I'd recommend avoiding room 901 if at all possible. Although these apartments were my first choice of accommodation in the past this trip has made me rethink this decision.

The best part of Brentwood Villa has to be Mary, the owner. So sweet and kind, she woke up early to make sure we had breakfast before an early train ride. The breakfast room was nice and had tea/coffee, fresh fruit and cereal available around the clock. Mary’s breakfasts were hearty and fulfilling. Located directly across from the University of Aberdeen, it was very convenient for us, since we were touring the campus. Great little place!

Could be so much better with a little bit of tlc. Always ask for a quiet room away from lift and preferable not overlooking main road. I tried calling the hotel the day before several times and could not get through. Appreciate this is a request which I couldn’t place but we ended up over looking onto the main road with a window that would not close properly resulting in unnecessary noise during the night and also having to have the heating on all night. We arrived pretty late after 3 hr drive and only realised this when in bed so really couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of possibly moving despite being informed they were full.!!!! Breakfast was probably the worst we have experienced unfortunately Under cooked black pudding Cheapest of cheap sausages Lumps of bacon mangled together Layout of cooked breakfast area not thought about and having to have lids off and on with no place to put lids especially when there is a queue.. little bit more thought the process is all is needed. The room itself was fine and as per the usual standard expected. After staying at the best premier inn we have stayed the weekend before this was underwhelming

Went for tea on 22/02/24 around 6pm , although nice food in the end the first mains came out cold. We told the lady who brought our meals out who quite abruptly told us that it came straight out of the kitchen and was not sitting at all, the other lady who originally took our order was really nice and apologetic , the second mains came and were nice however the lady who was rude to us kept walking past and glared at us throughout our meal and we noticed that she passed the food to the other lady to hand out in the middle of the resteraunt. That is the first time I have ever put food back in a resteraunt and I generally felt bad doing so but the food was cold , I get it is a mistake and am not blaming the kitchen staff as these things happen but for the server to take it so personally and then act in the way she did really made us feel unwelcome. I must add that the rest of the staff were great and very nice and the food when it came the second time was really nice but the lady spoiled our experience and for that reason we wouldn’t rush back

I had the pleasure of a tour of The Chester Hotel before enjoying a delicious lunch with a work colleague. Being local we have both been for dinner and functions but never had the opportunity to explore more. This hotel has a perfect central location (5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk to the city centre). The Chester has great social/function spaces. A beautifully designed bar area with plenty seating options. Also the newer Gallery area which is a lovely bright space where we chose to eat lunch. The Granite Suite is a large function room which can accommodate 300+ guests for weddings etc but also has pull out walls to reduce the space for smaller functions. (This was being set up during our tour for a function that evening) They also have the Granite Balcony - the largest of the private dining rooms that doubles up as an incredible space for intimate gatherings. It’s possible to seat up to 20 guests for dining with access to a private outdoor area. The rooms were spacious and bright and ranged from classic to suites. The hotel is spread across 5 buildings with easy access between (although could be bit of a maze if you get lost). They also have a separate property out the back called “The House”. This can accommodate a maximum party size of 10 (8 adults and 2 children) with four super king rooms and one sofa bed. However there is no kitchen here so not self catering but still has full access to the hotel. Oh and our lunch in the Gallery was DELICIOUS 👌🏼

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for business and pleasure trip. We had booked a double room with breakfast. Upon arrival, I noticed that the staff were wearing masks, established that they had a COVID case, some staff members were sick thus there was no bar or restaurant service. We were given room 211, it was filthy, went back to reception and given another room. Had to wait ages and as there was only one lift that operated at snail speed. Again, the second room was very basic, small, dated, small tight bathroom, very warm as the heater was full on and it did not match the photographs on Mercure website. I have stayed at other Mercure hotels before but this was something else. No bathrobes, no fancy bed coverings as in the illustrated pictures. This is NOT a four-star hotel as claimed, three stars maximum. There is a safe. Tea and coffee making facilities that do not get replenished biscuits on the first night only. Double bed that was smaller in comparison to other hotels. The TV has Freeview channels of which some did not work. No proper desk to work on. At night-time, there is so much noise from outside. This hotel needs modernising and a good clean. No wonder the hotel had a COVID case as the cleaning standards are low. Breakfast was average, sausages undercooked, eggs overcooked, not much choice of the cold section, no rolls only bread and limited fruit. Transport: From Aberdeen airport catch the 727 to Union Square which has the central bus station and railway station. It is a ten-minute walk to the hotel. Transport system is good but there was a rail strike on one of the days. The hotel is in a good location. There are lots of local places to eat especially at Union Square.

Booked this hotel whilst on a business trip to Aberdeen and usually like the Village hotel brand. The hotel itself is a modern village style hotel. We arrived late on a Sunday evening and the first experience with a staff member on reception wasn't great and a really abrupt check in. Was allocated a room on the first floor, 123. The room itself was nicely decorated and perfectly adequate. The issue came at 5:30am the next morning when incredibly loud bangs and noises were heard in the room. I thought it coild just be another guest above me getting up, but these noises continued and got louder. Then I looked at some reviews and realised I was right above the gym and multiple guest had suffered the same misfortune. The view from the window was also nonexistent and looked out directly on a small gravel area and then another wall. Hardly a great view of Aberdeen. The same staff member was on reception leading to a very unapologetic conversation regarding changing room for my final night. Was advised to sort when I returned in the evening. Thankfully a different staff member in the evening and the room was changed to a room on the 4th floor. Thankfully there was now a view, if you take out the huge gym roof. Hoping for no noise, I settled back down but then I woke at 6am and was still about to hear pumping music and the obvious sound of a gym instructor - from the 4th floor. I did have my window open for fresh air but even so - I was 4 floors up! Maybe it's an issue for all rooms facing the gym roof, not sure if the rooms the other side might have even better? Don't think I'll stay again!
