Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

This time I came to London and stayed at the Magnificent, the Fragmented Shangri-La, the Horse Guards and the Bulgari. The rooms in this 1,500-pound hotel had no highlights at all. I really felt like I was paying an IQ tax! Moreover, the air conditioner was very noisy, there was dust on the table, and even the pens had no refills. Several others have their own characteristics. Bulgari is not recommended.

Four seasons should be one of the best five-star hotels in London. I heard that they have been acquired by Chinese people. The service attitude is very good, not to mention the health. Party expenses are a bit expensive. Twenty thousand. But good value for money!

To be honest, for a room that costs 10,000+ per night, the overall experience is really average. It was much worse than a hotel of the same price in Paris. In addition, the breakfast at the hotel was really unpalatable. The porridge in the Asian Breakfast was the most unpleasant porridge I have ever tasted in my life. Also, breakfast is included in the room rate for the first stay, but only 50 pounds is allowed, which means that if you accidentally order more than the amount, you will have to pay extra for the meal. The only positive thing I have to say is that the location is very good, and the restaurant has a view of Hyde Park.

I visited for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my mother's birthday. Overall the experience was very good but, there is room for improvement. The sandwiches were delicious and clearly explained when placed on the table. The cakes and scones were equally as delicious. Most staff members and the waitress who served our table were very friendly. As a 5-star Hotel, I would have expected a greeting from one of the doormen/concierge members of staff. A greeting in the reception area would have also been nice and welcoming after not receiving one from the doormen but, instead, this took longer than should have and then directions were provided to us.

Positives: room was nice, bed was comfortable. Negatives: There was an event with music so loud it kept us up - we complained at 10pm and 10.30pm. The staff told us it would finish at midnight. It kept going until 1am until we went to the lobby to complain and it finally stopped. Hotels have 1 job: enable a good night sleep. They completely failed and handled it badly. We returned at 3:45 in the afternoon to see that our room hadn't been serviced. We were told by the staff they they were very busy and because we hadn't turned the green light on outside our door they hadn't had time to clean yet. How we were supposed to know that, I don't know. But essentially they blamed us for them not basic cleaning requirements. At an £800+ per night hotel. TV wasn't working, needed a workman to connect the wiring. Telephone handset didn't work. Shower needed incredible force to turn it on. And the door opened out so you couldn't put the bathmat outside the shower door.

Real five-star hotel, super good location, and service. Every floor of the hotel uses different colors to give the guests a good experience. If you don't consider the price, you will definitely come again.

Fantastic hotel overlooking Hyde Park Corner. Great service and everything you want/need in a London hotel. We used the 25 m pool and there was only one other person using it at the same time as us. We felt the whole stay was one of our better ones in London.

First day. Arrived from New York after a birthday celebration. Check in was fab, staff are amazing building spectacular. Unfortunately, builders work kept us awake This stopped after an hour; following my call to reception. Hotel did compensate with a bottle of vino. Lift locked out on the 5th floor, after 15 minutes decided to walk to 4 floor walk to bedroom
