It’s taken over a year for me to write this review but the Fantasic experience is still fresh in our memory. I chose this Hotel and location to propose to my now wife and it was simply fantastic. The first thing needs to be the world class service from Theodosia Stratakou. She made everything possible and nothing was too much trouble but yet professional enough to us the space and privacy we needed. The next thing has to be the room , facilities , the spectator view and the stunning sunsets. My now wife cried when we were entered our room for the first time. It was that impressive. The food is some of the best food if not the best I have ever eaten which is served on a platform the floats above the private pool. With the sun setting perfectly as the back drop it is possibly one of the best setting on the planet to pop the big question. We are now happily married and I am so happy that I chose this hotel to start an once journey. Thank you to all the staff especially Theo and hopefully we will return again someday. Ps the cocktails are awesome

If you want to be in the center of the shopping and be close to many people, do not choose Hotel Phos. But if you are looking for man-made and natural beauty, calm, and some of the most exquisite views you can imagine, you choose Hotel Phos. Phos means light in Greek and the combination of beautiful breeze coming off the water and the abundant sunlight are ideal. The accommodations are elegant in their simplicity, and we chose a suite that had its own infinity pool. Amazing! The staff was attentive, kind, and professional, and certainly greatly enhanced the quality of the stay. Anna and Katerina took care of our every need and are a big part of what makes Phos special. And the views are just spectacular. Photos just don't do it justice. Two small potential challenges of note: First, there are low barriers between the individual rooms outside areas which could be a problem sound-wise if you have neighbors who don’t accommodate to the unique circumstance. Also, if you are traveling to the more populated areas that have shopping, or restaurants off-site, you are either spend a good amount of time and a small fortune on transportation, or you rent a car. Be aware, however, that the roads are narrow, and can feel a little treacherous. Overall, the experience at Phos hotel was the high point of our visit to Greece.

Phos is a truly beautiful property with a lovely living area, outstanding pool and sweeping views of Santorini. It’s quiet, secluded and the perfect spot to relax. The service was also impeccable. Everyone was incredibly friendly and whenever you ordered anything, someone appeared at your door 30 seconds later. That being said, there were certainly a few flaws: I believe this is purposeful (so we didn’t mark them down for this) but there are absolutely no amenities at the hotel. No restaurant, bar, gym, communal area or anything. Their concept is that they bring everything to you. Some people may like this, we found it a bit monotonous having every single meal in our room and nothing within walking distance. They also stop the room cleaning at 3pm. Obviously there is nowhere you can go on the resort (unless you want to sit in reception) so unless you left the hotel for an excursion or something before 3pm, your room doesn’t get cleaned. Our check in experience was painful. Due to our flight schedule we were due to arrive early so we emailed Phos a few days before explaining we’d be there about 9am. They responded immediately, very positively, saying they’d be delighted to welcome us at that time. Naturally we assumed we’d either be able to check in, or they’d have some other option. When we arrived, however, the receptionist seemed surprised to see us. She informed us our room wasn’t ready and because they have no other amenities, we had to wait outside under a cabana for 4 hours until our room was ready. Needless to say this was a painful experience following a long day of travel. The food was hit and miss. There were some lovely dishes (burger, Greek salad, steak) but also some incredibly bland ones (mainly the breakfast omelettes). Our tap was a bit broken so water shot out at random angles and the hairdryer was so useless you’d be better off blowing your own hair dry. Overall we enjoyed our stay and is it a stunning hotel. It definitely needs work to justify the price and five star reviews in my opinion.

Phos is an exquisite adult only hotel. The rooms and outdoor private pools are the ultimate in relaxation. The location is perfect, looking down over the cauldera, beautiful sea, and great sunsets. There is no restaurant on site, nor any near by, which we thought might be an issue, but absolutely wasn't. They have an incredible menu with room service, so you can dine outdoors on your dining room table under the stars. The staff is exceptional, and goes well out of their way to ensure every need is met. Breakfast is delivered every morning per your choices the night before, and was a feast of delights. We LOVED our stay at Phos, and can't wait to go back.

Our experience at Phos The Boutique in Santorini had its highlights, though a few aspects left us a bit disappointed. The breathtaking view from our villa and the luxury of our private pool were undeniable high points. We enjoyed spending our days relaxing by the pool and taking in the views. The food was exceptional, particularly the breakfast spread, which was very much needed due to lack of good restaurants in the area. The 5-star attentive service from Anna and George was amazing, they were always available to get us anything we needed. Joanna’s housekeeping was also truly impressive, and we have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the service. However, certain aspects did take away from the otherwise wonderful stay. One notable issue was the lack of proper storage for clothing in our villa. The absence of drawers or sufficient storage options was a noticeable inconvenience. Additionally, our choice of a two-bedroom villa had its drawbacks. While the master bedroom was fantastic, the second bedroom lacked a door and was part of an open-plan layout. This arrangement fell short of our expectations for privacy and comfort. Another minor setback was the challenge of maintaining privacy. Conversations and music from neighboring villas were easily audible which compromised the sense of seclusion. Neighbors frequently peering over wasn’t the most comfortable thing. The villas/rooms are in close proximity to the reception, so conversations being had in the reception area (staff, check-ins, check-outs, guests) were easily audible from our room, and frequently woke us up early mornings. Thank you Anna for doing everything you could to mitigate the noise. Lastly, the ongoing construction next door detracted from the serenity we had hoped for. The noise from drilling and other construction activities was a notable disruption, and considering the premium price point of our stay, it was disappointing not to have been informed about this in advance. I’m not sure why they would choose peak season for construction, because it definitely impacted our stay. In summary, while Phos The Boutique has its merits – the panoramic views, attentive service, and delicious food– there are certainly aspects that require attention. Enhancing room amenities, ensuring adequate privacy, and providing timely information about potential disturbances/better planning the timing of construction work would have made it perfect.

A truly stunning hotel with wonderful service and outstanding cuisine. Each room comes with its own private pool and terrace and all food and drink is served directly to you which allows for a thoroughly relaxing and decadent experience! Personally, I think that the hotel could shout louder about its food provision as everything was first class in it’s execution and addictively delicious! (Genuinely, amongst the best food we have ever eaten). Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely in-house team - and without hesitation we would recommend highly!

Best holiday ever. My boyfriend surprised me with this trip for my 30th birthday and it also turned out to be a surprise proposal. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we had the best service. We were made to feel as if nothing was too much trouble and we instantly felt relaxed. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was just amazing. I have never had a view like it and the sunset was like nothing I have seen before. The room had plenty of space and was immaculate. The pool area also had so much room and again was super clean. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel a couple of times and the food was lovely. Highly recommend the chicken tacos for lunch! I read some reviews to say that the staff come in unannounced. This never happened to us. The staff always knocked and then asked if it was ok for them to come in. The service was of the highest standard. My partner had been messaging Theo from the hotel to arrange the proposal beforehand. She was so helpful and made sure everything ran so smoothly for him on the evening. I cannot thank her and the rest of the staff enough for making that night a moment we will never forget. The location of the hotel was quite remote but that suited us - we rented a car one day and went to Fira and Oia. Both lovely areas but quite crowded with hotels and cars - so coming back to Phos made us appreciate just how relaxing it was. We have both said how much we would want to come back to the hotel. I would highly recommend!

Planning a trip months in advance can be stressful, so the last thing you want is to deal with last-minute changes. Unfortunately, my experience with Phos the Boutique resort was a nightmare. While I rarely write negative reviews, I feel compelled to share my experience so that others can avoid the same disappointment. Phos the Boutique cancelled my reservation the night before my arrival without any warning or communication. I had reserved my room two months in advance and even confirmed my reservation by re-entering my credit card information when I received a notification that my initial card didn't work. I tried to confirm my reservation with the hotel via email, but received no response until the day before I was supposed to arrive in Santorini. At that point, I was told that my card wasn't working again, so I entered the information again and emailed the resort. Despite my efforts, my reservation was cancelled without warning or explanation. To make matters worse, when I called the resort to inquire about transportation arrangements, they told me that I couldn't come because I hadn't paid. I offered to settle the payment in person the next day with a different card, but was met with a dismissive response. Although my experience at Phos the Boutique was terrible, I was able to salvage my trip by finding an alternate resort in Oia. I highly recommend checking out my other review for more information about this stunning alternative. If you're planning a trip to Santorini, I advise you to avoid Phos the Boutique and consider other options. Trust me, there are much better ways to spend 100 euros for a relaxing vacation. Also when you plan, it's worth considering the geography of the island before booking your stay. I initially overlooked this aspect, until I stayed in Oia, located in the north and at a higher altitude, which offers the clearest views of the famous Santorini sunset. In other areas of the island, such as Fira or Akrotiri where I spent a few days, the sunset views can be obstructed by the landscape.

I don't even know where to begin with this hotel, it was an absolute first class five star experience. The front desk lady Theo was the epitome of professionalism and helpfulness. She helped my family and I book a rental car, reservations for dinner in Fira and Oia, and booking spa appointments. Having breakfast delivered to our room in the mornings were something I have never experience and it was absolutely amazing and first class. Our infinity pool was a dream come true, the water was warm and the view was absolutely stunning. The only thing that was missing from this magical place was a fun bar and restaurant. We did also have some issues with loud construction next to our room, but when we told the front desk they right away took care of it. Overall the experience was absolutely incredible and I cannot wait to return.
