I've been to Wuzhen many times, but this is my first stay at a Xizha B&B. You absolutely have to stay here for a different Wuzhen experience. First off, both manual and self-check-in are super convenient. You can reserve breakfast at the floating market for the next day and arrange luggage transfer via a mini-program, which also updates your room and luggage status. This means you can head straight into exploring the scenic area upon arrival, which is incredibly hassle-free. The guest rooms are also remarkably clean and well-appointed, and the landlady was incredibly warm and welcoming, offering detailed introductions and thoughtful suggestions that made the stay feel much more personal.

I checked in at the visitor center and was assigned to Building 17. The host was really welcoming and even gave us a sweet soup right after we arrived. The guesthouse has a great atmosphere. The lack of soundproofing is normal for wooden houses like this, so they provided earplugs. There's air conditioning and breakfast; they ask what you'd like to eat and when you'd like it when you check in. I highly recommend the noodles. The host was absolutely wonderful, always helping us enthusiastically with any issues during our stay and even carrying our luggage. It's really convenient to stay inside the scenic area.

We booked the room with river view & balcony. Was assigned to building #76, hosted by an incredibly welcoming, friendly, and hospitable host. Despite the language barrier, everyone has been very kind & helpful. The included breakfast was hearty and delicious. On the 2nd morning, we opted to have the infamoud Zao Cha Ke breakfast at the Floating Market - an experience that must NOT be missed by visitors. The prices are reasonable, we ended up feeling very stuffed & contented, having spent the included 60 yuan (30 yuan pp) credit for the Zao Cha Ke. Wuzhen is a beautiful place. Despite the crowd, there'd always be a spot where you can appreciate the charm of the idyllic water town. The streets and alleys are incredibly clean too, kudos to the elderly workers who are everywhere and practically picked up every single debris they saw.

Extremely satisfied with our trip to Wuzhen! This package deal was perfect for a family vacation, covering tickets, accommodation, and breakfast – incredible value for money. The guesthouse was conveniently located on the main street, so we could easily pop back to the hotel to rest whenever we got tired from exploring. We'll definitely be back, highly recommend!

The Wuzhen Guesthouse (Wuzhen Minsu) is a charming waterside guesthouse located in Wuzhen, a canal town located in between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Made up of a collection of local residences, the Wuzhen Guesthouse straddles the southern and northern banks of the Shihe River.
