This was a real surprise, we booked last minute a good price. The staff were 1st class smiley and efficient. The room modern and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of vegetarian choices but ham on the bone and whole salmon for the meat eaters. We got a tram from the station which took 5 minutes.

Well.... Hotel room was nicely big, bed comfy But... Heating too high, no chance to regulate the temperature. We had to sleep with an open window to assure a bearable sleep. Applies to the entire hotel. Therefore no bother to change rooms Door still operates with keys. Asking for a 2nd one represented an impossible challenge to the receptionist handing out three keys. All of them were not working. Therefore abandoned On checkout mentioned that Booking and Agoda still classify property as a 4 * with pool. Closed permanently resulting in a downgrading to 3*. Did not appreciate being lectured by the receptionist telling her something not being correct. Did not appreciate her tone Hotel needs to improve significantly service and maintenance

On a trip to Czech Republic from France we stayed at this hotel on both legs. Going to Czech we were impressed with the room and our only niggle was the fact that we had to go to the bar to order a meal in the restaurant on the opposite side of the floor. We were informed that this was because of the fact that they were catering for conferences!! Apart from that our room on the second floor was lovely. Fast forward 6 days and a different picture! Room 126 was allocated to us but when I wanted to contact Reception I found that the telephone didn’t work. Then when I went into the bathroom to find that there was an unrecognisable sticky substance on the door handle. I then learnt that a hotel such as this didn’t have its restaurant open on a Sunday night!! What is going on?? Not impressed with Paula, the receptionist, who, although was prompt to rectify the room faults by immediately moving us to another one, certainly wasn’t too impressed with her guests, judging by her voice!! Certainly not a warm welcome!!

Also das Hotel genügt den Anforderungen im Zimmerbereich und im Servicebereich. Beim Frühstück ist es ausgesprochen problematisch! Es wird bereits eineViertelstunde bis 20 Minuten vor Ende des Frühstücks die Sachen vom Buffet entfernt! Man wird 3-5 mal darauf hingewiesen dass um 10:00 Uhr das Frühstück zu Ende ist! Eine entspannte Atmosphäre schafft dies auf keinen Fall! Es ist nicht nachvollziehbar warum man nicht Lösungen wie bei anderen Hotels finden kann!

We arrived at the hotel after a long travel day in the early evening and the receptionist was very friendly, listened and gave us two nice rooms with views towards the city (rather than the station and rail-tracks). The rooms were clean and had amenities such as a kettle. What really rocked was the breakfast. An excellent choice of cold and warm, a very good handmade fruit-salad and bircher musli. As I am someone using the stairs rather than the elevator to do some steps, I really enjoyed the motivating messages on each floor of the staircase. Good idea! Overall great value for our money. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, we will come back when the opportunity arises.

Clean and modern hotel, great breakfast to start your day and most importantly it's 5 mins walk to Mannheim main train station and 2 mins walk to the tram station to Mannheim shopping district. Front office staff were welcoming and courteous, thanks for making my stay wonderful. Best part of the hotel is the view of the train station and absolutely zero noise from outside, which makes your stay very comfortable.

Still very nice hotel Relative to this price, the hotel room is not small, quite large, and ample. The hotel’s breakfast is very recommended, 8.9 Euros every day, full variety, and very well managed. The room is fairly clean and the bathroom layout is reasonable. The location is not close to the train station, not too easy to find, but not far from the Mannheim water tower. The staff is very welcoming.

Access with public transit is a bit tricky, either a 25-minute walk from the main station or a combination of tram / walk. Arriving by car is much easier, they have a garage (do not know about the cost though). One nice things for a stay during the summer period: you can open the windows at the hotel for fresh air. Downside: there was no vault in the room.

After reading plenty of bad reviews we were concerned about our organized trip to the BUGA 23 (we had no choice of the hotel). ⭐ Location ⭐ : Mercure is right in front of the main entrance ”Luisenpark” to the BUGA 🌺🌹🌻 Perfect for us 👍 Walking to the nice Wasserturm & city centre takes around 25 minutes. Good PT options very close by (Tram 6). Check in: fast and friendly, check out also. Room: on the 4th floor, kind of worn out/abgewohnt but clean enough. Some items missing (towel, glass) , but quickly solved with front desk. Soap and shampoo ok. Restaurant: BF was ok, fresh food and enough choice. Buffet dinner for our group was good, especially the anti pasti/hors d'oeuvres buffet, which had an Italian/French touch👍 Service: restaurant&bar, very friendly and caring German waiter who served us (Bier&Weissburgunder) with a smile.... even late in the evening after we came back from the Joy Fleming musical 👍 Wifi: perfect, no problem with connection/data usage.

Stayed here two nights for work and couldn’t fault it. Location is perfect - next to the train station. My bedroom was large and well equipped with good views over the city. The breakfast was very good - not a huge selection but everything you basically want. The on site stock was well stocked and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here next time I’m in the area for work

We were here with our grandson and were satisfied. A extra bed was placed in the spacious double room. Breakfast was varied and varied. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Price - performance vote. However, the hotel is far from the shot and the bus stop is not in operation at the weekend. The next tram stop is about 700 m away. Both for the visit of BuGa and for a tour to the city centre, you have to calculate some races. Therefore we prefer to take a taxi with bags.

The expectation was to get a night of rest and carry on with my daily routine. To my surprise, the manager (male spoke Spanish) took the time to get to know me and the other people on my team. This gave me the trust that I was not alone and there was people that care for foreigners. The front staff was very professional and always on guard to our needs. The cleanup crew were very respectful and courteous. I would definitely bring my family to this hotel if I ever were in Germany again. In conclusion, EXCELLENCE is the banner in which they were to be described.

It depends on the type of trip. If you book a trip that is delaying, creative, raised, you are here goldright. Perfectly located to the HBF and thus center, great equipment (ground, bath, bed), wrong good Italian breakfast buffet. There is no better way to make a boutique hotel. When you make a hectic business trip, you should know what to get on. No hacks in the bathroom for bath bags, no sticks in the bed for mobile loading, hardly soundproofing, which disturbs the neighbor's shoes, rather bright, no parking, breakfast 2 houses further, i.e. weather, Win and switch Wi-Fi if you are in a call). Wi-Fi ... yes ...Very very complicated. However, personally I always prefer other hotels in Mannheim !

We had spent our trip staying at this hotel unfortunately on the Saturday night there was an event so the parking was full . We had to pay the fees in advance so I did ask for refund at the reception as we parked on the street.The lady was rude from beginning and extremely unhelpful, told us to send an email . No one came back to us after 4 weeks we still waiting for our money. I can’t believe that a guest is being ignored like that !!!!! Then they are cleaning the rooms every second day that means every second day we needed to go down to ask for new towels etc. The receptionist very unpleasant person insulted other guests by calling them ossis ( the easten guys) , as they had a slightly accent . They were so shocked that they didn’t know what to say . Very unprofessional and not at all welcoming!!!!! There are plenty other great hotels in Mannheim where guests are welcome and get the value for their money.

This was a real surprise, we booked last minute a good price. The staff were 1st class smiley and efficient. The room modern and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Plenty of vegetarian choices but ham on the bone and whole salmon for the meat eaters. We got a tram from the station which took 5 minutes.

The Mercure Mannheim Rathaus is a bit dated but still OK and very practical / functional for a stay in Mannheim. Centrally located. Friendly staff. Clean. Access with public transit is a bit tricky, either a 25-minute walk from the main station or a combination of tram / walk. Arriving by car is much easier, they have a garage (do not know about the cost though). One nice things for a stay during the summer period: you can open the windows at the hotel for fresh air. Downside: there was no vault in the room.

The expectation was to get a night of rest and carry on with my daily routine. To my surprise, the manager (male spoke Spanish) took the time to get to know me and the other people on my team. This gave me the trust that I was not alone and there was people that care for foreigners. The front staff was very professional and always on guard to our needs. The cleanup crew were very respectful and courteous. I would definitely bring my family to this hotel if I ever were in Germany again. In conclusion, EXCELLENCE is the banner in which they were to be described.

On a trip to Czech Republic from France we stayed at this hotel on both legs. Going to Czech we were impressed with the room and our only niggle was the fact that we had to go to the bar to order a meal in the restaurant on the opposite side of the floor. We were informed that this was because of the fact that they were catering for conferences!! Apart from that our room on the second floor was lovely. Fast forward 6 days and a different picture! Room 126 was allocated to us but when I wanted to contact Reception I found that the telephone didn’t work. Then when I went into the bathroom to find that there was an unrecognisable sticky substance on the door handle. I then learnt that a hotel such as this didn’t have its restaurant open on a Sunday night!! What is going on?? Not impressed with Paula, the receptionist, who, although was prompt to rectify the room faults by immediately moving us to another one, certainly wasn’t too impressed with her guests, judging by her voice!! Certainly not a warm welcome!!

Average and unremarkable. Hotel is a bit farther from Hauptbahnhof than it appears when booking. Room was perfectly comfortable for the 2 nights I spent. Neighborhood not memorable. Eher mittelmäßig. Circa zehn Minuten zum Fuss von Hauptbahnhof, nicht so in der Nahe, als ich gedacht habe. Das Zimmer war gemütlich.
