Meeting Warm, learned French auberge, unlocked a knot. I have come to Japan countless times and still don't understand how to call a small hotel with excellent food. The hotel is definitely wrong. The inn seems to be lower grade. The outique does not cover the essence of the meal. It is always poor and difficult to meet. Or the French will play, it is said that the travel method of accommodation in order to pursue food has begun 100 years ago, Japan's auberge began in the bubble economy, and it is impossible to collect. Now, luxury must have a luxury meal to accompany, otherwise, how to enjoy? The decoration of this hotel is not my favorite style at all, stuff is too full, no rules, suffocating. I even determined that the boss himself designed everything according to his own preferences. For example, there is a corner in the lobby that is said to be the appearance of his grandfather's hometown. Some places will have a little whims, such as drilling a few holes in the wood, so that the light can be illuminated from the inside. Such a design, self-appreciation is no problem, put in public places, it is generally the same. I really don't understand what this boss is going to do, from porcelain, wood, to the case board made by the prisoner, there are many things that I don't understand, all-inclusive, and no idea at all. Employees said that the boss's main business is to build bridges, and others are interested, including this auberge, and they will put it here to showcase it for sale if they like it. Once on demand, I saw the point. The template of the room corridor in Figure 2 is the signature tourist attraction of the net. Prison Museum, let the guests live in prison. Good guy, it is really wayward to have money. Selling what prisoners produce is to raise funds to help them return to society more smoothly in the future. A young employee walked up, a little bit awkward, in the past in this grade of auberge never seen, warm hot flow from the heart, wayward boss should also be a kind boss, a comfortable boss in life. Dare to call auberge, the guests must have no low expectations for the meal, after eating two meals, my evaluation is to win in good ingredients, good ingredients or good ingredients. The front desk said that the chef is from the local area, not a famous chef, but from the restaurant, the net lake, grass, garden, rowed in turn, seafood, milk, vegetables and fruits, are all from farm to table distance, such ingredients are simple cooking, is the taste of the world, why should you bluff and go? Why is it called the warmth of the north? The original hotel is located in the cascading garden. This is a popular sightseeing spot in the local area. The score on the Jalan net in Japan is 4.9, and the full score is five points. The traffic is also very convenient. Take a taxi from the Jr station and the starting price is there. Passing by, please don't miss, life is too short, do have fun.

The staff were professional and tried to communicate in English, which was unexpected as we were the guests. Although the hotel is enormous and shows signs of ageing, it is still well-maintained. The rooms were spacious and one of the best during my entire 2 weeks trip. The only issue was that the corridors were not insulated, and very cold during the winter. Coin laundry is located within the Main Building, so it can be a pain to walk from the East Building, braving the cold, to use the facility.

Located right next to the train station with a view of the tracks, totally quiet at night. Free coffee around the clock, but unfortunately no breakfast. The offer said that breakfast was available on request, but this service has been discontinued. This should be corrected. Otherwise everything was very nice and there was everything you needed for an overnight stay, including a jukata. Very nice!

This time I traveled with my family, and the hotel was quite nice with very friendly staff. Due to my child's allergies, we couldn't experience the hot springs, which was quite a shame.
When checking out, we encountered heavy snow in Eastern Hokkaido, and the bus service was suspended. We're very grateful to the Vietnamese girl at the front desk - she helped us check the bus situation and assisted in booking a taxi to Lake Akan. We didn't miss our subsequent itinerary thanks to her help, and we're really thankful.

Abashiri Toyoko, I saw their restaurant right after getting off the train😀
There is a 24-hour Sukiya nearby, so you don’t have to worry about eating
Check in at the self-service machine, and get free breakfast, but unfortunately I was in a hurry the next day so I didn’t try it out😆
The biggest problem with their restaurant is that they only have one elevator, and it’s very small. If you check out early in the morning, you may encounter the breakfast rush, and you may not be able to squeeze into the elevator, so you can only carry your luggage through the fire escape. Don’t ask me how I know, I ran over from the 7th staircase myself🙃
Because it’s close to the station, I was woken up by the sound of the snowplow at around 4 o’clock, but everything else was fine

The room is about 21?23? square meters, which is a good size for two people. The bathroom is a bit small. There is a hot spring, so the bathtub is basically not used. The hot spring pool is not big. The price of 1000 in winter, including breakfast, is reasonable in Hokkaido. The price in summer may be around 400. The hotel is opposite to Abashiri JR Station and the bus station is also next to it. The location is good. The breakfast is also good, with white porridge, Western food, and Japanese food. After leaving the hotel, you can go to the nearby Abashiri River for a walk.
Hokkai Hotel sits at the center of the town and along the River Abashiri. 5 minutes walk from the Abashiri station.

The price is very reasonable. During the Spring Festival, breakfast and dinner are only over 800 yuan per night. The bathhouse is too small. In Japan, you get more for every penny you spend. The front desk service is very good. There is nothing to do around. Izakaya is a good choice.

The Dormy Inn is a chain 3-star onsen hotel that you can find across Japan. This is the first one I have stayed in but it certainly won't be the last! The one in Abashiri is situated on the river between the train station and bus terminal, both of which will be useful for getting to and exploring Abashiri. Reception is on the ground floor and you need a keycard to access any of the higher levels of the building. The onsen and sauna are on the top floor and are split by gender. The onsen part has both indoor and outdoor parts.
The hotel rooms come with a comfortable (and softer, for Japanese standard) bed with a desk, telephone, television, reading light, etc. that you would expect in a Japanese hotel. It has slightly more space than other, comparable hotels. I stayed a week in mid-July 2024 and would happily stay here again! The staff were courteous, all the signs were in at least English and Japanese (and often also in simplified Chinese and Korean), and everything was very clear. I had no problems or issues of any kind. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel, so I am unable to provide any feedback on this topic.
Conclusion: I will happily stay at this and other Dormy Inn's in the future.
Just a 2-minute walk from Abashiri Bus Terminal and a 10-minute walk from JR Abashiri Station, the hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of the city. Perfect for business, shopping, and sightseeing, it offers unparalleled convenience.
Right next door is a convenience store, and the vibrant entertainment district is just behind the hotel. After a night out, there’s no need for a taxi—simply walk back to your accommodation, saving time and money! Additionally, the bus terminal with direct airport buses is conveniently located diagonally in front of the hotel, making travel seamless.
With a relaxed 11:00 AM checkout, the hotel is ideal for both business and leisure stays. Unwind and rejuvenate with complimentary Kao Bath Additives (infused with hot spring minerals) available in every room. To ensure freshness and comfort, each room is also equipped with the Air Sophia Deodorizing Spray, featuring plant-based antibacterial and deodorizing ingredients.
Enjoy a comfortable and convenient stay in Abashiri!

The breakfast and dinner for one stay and two meals are great! The public baths are also very clean! However, the corridor in the room smelled of oily smoke, and the windows in the room could not be opened, making it impossible to enjoy the cool summer air. It was a pity!

RRex1944Best stay ever. Imagine a place that can accommodate all 9 friends while the facilities are new and great.
GGuest UserThe owner was a really good person and the recommended tavern was also booked and it was very delicious.
It was a great place to change your mood.
GGuest UserComing all the way from Sapporo, Otaru, Obihiro, Kushiro, Rausu, and Abashiri, the hotel has the lowest value for money among the hotels I have stayed in. Maybe it’s because of Abashiri’s market conditions. The service is kept to a minimum. There is no hair dryer in the large bathroom, and I have to go back to the room to blow it. There are only two sockets, so a bunch of electrical appliances can only be charged in turns.
There is no air-conditioning remote control. The buttons are like central air-conditioning switches. They can only control the air volume, but cannot adjust the temperature. If it gets cold in the middle of the night, put on more clothes.
The grade is not as high as expected, and the difference will not be too big if you look at it as a low-end hotel.
