The location of the hotel is great as it was located at the middle of the town so you can travel to any Whisky Distillery within 15 minutes. The hotel is a bit old which was expected but the room was fine and comfy. The food that served by the hotel was great and price reasonable. Overall a fine stay if you are planning for a Whisky Tour at the Speyside!

I was looking forward to having lunch here as my partner had recommended it, he had the steak which was really good however I ordered the Cajun chicken linguine it looked good however as I started to eat it I noticed it was drenched in oil you can see it in the photo I couldn’t even taste the sauce all I could taste was oil. Bearing in mind I had barely touched it and it was priced at £17, I had mentioned this to the waitress she was kind and apologetic. When I went up to ask for some sort of discount as I wasn’t happy paying full price for this they said the could just take off the 2 cokes we had which would’ve been fine however I still had to pay full price for a dish that wasn’t worth how much it is.

Week in Aberlour and two visits for Cullen Skink with all the extras. Also had a number of other dishes to.accompany. centrally located in Aberlour and, as such, easy to walk to or park near. Would have gone more often if we had time. Thoroughly recommend.

Dropped in past on route home from Kiltarilty. Had a great lunch with the family, they chose breaded/battered haddock, burger and mac n cheese. The hotelier recommended a whisky after lunch, their own gordon and mcphail. Light pineapple sweet, smooth to the end…I like a sherried whisky but this is something id run to!

The staff was attentive and accommodating. Glad we were able to enjoy the billiards and juke box in the back garage area. Food was excellent.

This is a lovely little hotel! In the room were fluffy bathrobes and record players! We laid on the bed and listened to Tammy Wynette. So fun! The breakfasts were delicious and all the staff were so friendly. They greeted everyone like they'd known us forever! And the front desk staff answered all my questions and gave us great recommendations. I highly recommend staying here!

THANK YOU! We stayed in Aberlour and had several meals here - breakfasts and lunches with our labrador. They are very dog friendly and brought our dog treats, cuddles, water bowls and even a bed! The food is delicious and a huge menu. The portions are generous and everything seems really fresh. The kippers for breakfast were particularly delicious, and the "blaggis bon bons" were inspired. We will absolutely be back! The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, we were very grateful. Thank you.

We stopped in here for lunch after visiting the Walkers shop on one of the hottest days we can think of (26°c). Anyhoo, we were seated in a lovely cool bar/dining area and ordered our food and 2 pints of fully iced fresh orange and lemonade, which hit the spot! Then lunch arrived - started with a great portion of prawns in Marie Rose sauce with lovely brown bread, salad and a good wedge of lemon - so tasty! Then the mains….well I can tell you no matter what you order, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. We had chiili beef nachos and a Blaggis burger (got to visit to find out what that is!) with fries, which was all served piping hot, SUPER tasty and very generous portions. Took a while to eat our way through our meal but suffice to say, no evening meal will be required tonight! Staff were lovely and service was prompt despite being a wee bit busy. We have no complaints and highly recommend you visit if you’re in the area. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Visited here just to get a quick bite to eat after travelling and we decided on a late lunch. We ordered 2 haddock and chips, a steak pie and mash, scampi and chips, and spicy burger and chips. The food arrive in a short period of time (fantastic start) and I’m afraid that’s where it stops as they food was not pleasant. Firstly, my fish and chips had a hair (not a rabbit) on the plate (I have dark hair and it was blond so definitely not mine). I immediately informed the server and she took it away, apologised and said she would bring freshly prepared food again. The timings were out as it was brought out supper quick. Not to cause and issue I just proceeded to eat it. The fish batter was crispy but saturated with oil. The chips were the same and to say that the oil had been used a number of times, was an understatement, as the flavour of the oil was very much present in the chips etc. The burger was ok but dry, the steak pie was good but a little salty and accompanying mash was rather dry and crying out for butter, milk and cream. The scampi was ok but again, the chips as before the flavour of the overly used oil ran through the food. There was also a hair on the lemon. The quality of food definitely did not represent the prices, you would be able to get much better food and cheaper in the city centre of Edinburgh. Clear to say, I won’t be returning.
