OYO Eastbank Hotel, Speyside Scotland

We got this room on a fly, as we were stopping to rest before we continued on our own whisky trail. The innkeeper was lovely, very accommodating. The room we got was the largest we experienced in uk/Scotland. It was not too cold, as they had heaters in the room AND in the bathroom. The room was facing the main road, so it was a little noisy, but we were so tired, that we really couldn't hear it...bed was kinda springy, but when you lie in it, it's alright. However, hopefully the management would consider putting on a topper, so that guests won't feel the springs so much. Tea n coffee was provided...we didn't try the breakfast but had a slice of homemade apple pie with cream.....not sweet, more tart, I like it tart rather than sweet. Hubby was happy looking at all the various whisky the bar had. Overall we like this hotel/Inn as people were really friendly and the location was good. Also, the room was very clean. Didn't give 5* for amenities, as the toiletries such as toothbrushes, slippers were not provided, if it did, would have been wonderful. But I would happily stay there again as we liked the staff who ran the show. Thank you

Rothes is a cute village well situated near several distilleries. The staff were very nice and accommodating, however the facilities need work. Our shower leaked and the water temperatures varied greatly. The mirror was off the wall and there was no light above the sink.

Dated facility that needs lots of cleaning and improvements, but good staff and good food.

Friendly place. Clean. Lots of stairs though. I was passing through but you could easily stay here for 2/3 days as a base for exploring locally.

Property was clean, good for its age. The staff were very good and friendly. But…the traffic noise was horrendous, I thought the trucks were coming into the room all night, earplugs a must.

Good location for being in distillery country! Staff very friendly and helpful. Property old style and perhaps historic but comfortable. Enjoyed our stay at Eastbamk!

Very nice whisky bar and restaurant. Very unique rooms.

I wasn't too sure what to expect from the photographs of the exterior of the hotel. What a pleasant surprise? A big beautiful room with a modern bathroom and,.last but not least, a great breakfast.
